I have seen the websites about comparing coins and was wondering if there is a central wallet and mining program combo capable of switching around a bit. I'm currently using cgminer and the -qt wallet. I understand there are arguments that will allow you to mine different coins using a wallet as a "server"(not sure if that's the right term).

Am I overcomplicating it thinking you have to download a wallet program for every coin you want to mine? Then have a shortcut, with separate arguments, for each coin you want to switch to?

And as for the coin comparisons, is it worth switching back and forth that much? I'm currently mining with Slush for BTC, on a NVIDIA card, more for the learning and contribution to the "cause". I should be receiving 2 USB ASCIMiners in the next week or so, and would like to start looking for some scripts to start hashing when they come in.

I know the NVIDIA card has to go, and it will, but the U$D wallet is pretty thin at the moment, and as you can imagine the BTCs haven't started piling up yet.

Thanks

There is no multi-coin wallet atm.

For switching to mine another coin quickly I use CGMiner and I a batch file (.bat) for the coins I want to mine. and I use the one I want to mine.
