I would do this loan with a Casascius coin as collateral (what value?)   But it would probably take a few days to ship it to me before I would release the coins.

Sad, really. I think this one will be fine and I would have gone for it if I was in a better mood.

That said, so many hacked (or rented/sold!*) accounts recently that you can never be sure (though I suppose a signed message from a linked bitcoin address might help).

* Seriously, I have never known a forum to positively encourage the renting or sale of user accounts. WTF sort of a policy is that? I know people could rent/sell their account anyway, but at least it would be LESS likely if the owner faced a perma ban for doing so. This policy only encourages bad behaviour IMO.
