Absolutely agree with this statement as with the fact that the price does not have a key value, the choice of altcoyin for investment is a complex issue for which no one here will answer you. This is your money, your risk and your responsibility, and the good guy would like to know for himself the answer, at the moment I'm bothering with IOTA, a very promising project and technology.

IOTA looks promising to me. Their technology is brilliant (a way to do crypto without ming an without fees) but I miss the ability for smart contracts. A coin which combines both would be the next killer.

It is very easy to ask, and yes, obviously that the price is not something very important, because the most important thing of an altcoin is just the marketcap, and of course, the max supply of that coin.

But yes, IOTA is one of the most profitable altcoins that are on the market right now, and its price is only at $0,77 each one of them, it will probably be more than one dollar at the end of the year.

Cardano is a good coin too, it has a lot of developments, and i am sure that it is going to be a big coin, because they have like an agreement with google. It is only $0,03, but it can easily go over $0,15 - $0,50.

There are a lot of thread at altcoin discussion section where people ask advices about good projects with <5$, <1$, <0.1$ price of token (coin). I can't get that! The price of token doesn't matter at all. Project's cap and token supply is much more important!

I absolutely agree with you. Ripple is sort of against the whole cryptocurrency ideology, but as a currency it does have chances of getting broadly used, because of being oriented on banks. IOTA is a supercoin with thrilling qualities but rather potentially, then for real, because people have serious problems with the wallets (the most common one is seeing your iota balance dissappear), so for now it is not a good investment option. Electroneum has pretty much the same thing as IOTA. The ideas it presents are genious but their realization has some problems for now and we don't have guarantee that people will be interested in these coins some time later when they repair everything. The first impression is rather important and this one is not so good.

Thanks for the input, I will check it out. I did invest in IOTA since I liked concept. I invested when the prices were below .5$. So it has got me a good profit already. The other ones under $1 I like are Golem and SONM.

You shouldnt be looking at the price like that. There are some very low value coins in terms of USD but with huge market caps because their circulating supply is enourmous. Check Ripple for example, it's a top 5 coin but each one is worth only a quarter roughly.

This is the correct answer.  I would feel much more comfortable putting money into ByteBall at $250 a coin than most of these sub-$1 coins, due to the fact that ByteBall has a much lower market cap than most of the new under $1 coins.
