People are saying that it is very easy to make an altcoin.  The question is, how?

I've been looking at the source of LTC and comparing it to other cryptos...
Apparently everything is the same except src and share.

yep. eventually everyone will learn, you do actually need to have some background in c++ if you want to make an altcoin. i myself have been doing php and web design for years and the compiling and debugging of building c++ made my brain almost explode. so glad to have a pro to help me finally. if you want an altcoin i recommend you pm muddafudda. he's legit when it comes to building alt coins.

Apparently everything is the same except src and share.

Everything except for the <coin>-qt.pro and the src folder are unnecesary anyway. It's all just old resource clutter that most of the clones don't even know what to do with.

i think the build directory is necessary to compile qt.
