Dragonball Z for 9000? Why?

Did I miss the memo on why /r/bitcoin has a bunch of Dragonball Z images once Bitcoin broke 9k?

Hahah this is true, i have seen all those posts about the Memes of the price, it is very funny, it makes me remember about those old times in when i used to see Dragonball Z, they were precious times for me, probably the best jewel that i took from when i was a young boy.

It is from the Scene in when Vegeta says "His power is over 9000" I dont remember if i am seeing it well, it was a funny scene, probably it has been modified but in fact, it was like that.

That is why there are a lot of memes about bitcoin and the over 9000, because of that scene.

Hope that it is more clear now.

It is because the power of the characters was measured in numbers. More than 9000 was unthinkable when first appeared, just like the current price of bitcoin, so the surprise.

I laught myself when i saw this meme too, it was very incredible because i was seeing some reddit posts on the /r/bitcoin and a lot of memes were suddenly being posted in there.
This obviously make me think about all those times in when i used to watch dragonball z, i have introduced my little cousins into this TV show, but they did not like it.

The whole industry of the TV has already changed, and that is why most of them now prefer to watch Peppa Pig instead of this incredible show, i would never forget it.

Yea, I've watched the original Dragonball and loved the show.

But never caught on to Dragonball Z.

What's funny about this is, in the original Dragon Ball Z script (the japanese one) the number was 8000 and not 9000, so for the hardcore Dragon Ball Z fans like me, it is 8000 and we already hit it a while ago. 9000 was just extra nice to see. Also not only in the japanese original version it is 8000, but in a lot of other languages it was dubbed as 8000 too.

It means for me at least that the Bitcoin price is unstoppable.
Bitcoin could stabilise easily over the $10k level in the next hours maybe?
