Bitcoin will be featured on another television series, The Big Bang Theory, airing this Thursday on November 30, 2017. In fact, the entire episode will be based on a bitcoin storyline as the cast finds a laptop with a cache of valuable cryptocurrency.

The Big Bang Theory is a popular American television sitcom that’s featured on the network CBS. The show revolves around a group of geeky characters who reside in Pasadena, California. The Big Bang Theory (BBT) has become a top-rated broadcast filled with engineering jokes, comic book collections, and quirky memorabilia. The show is currently airing its 11th season, and this coming Thursday’s show will be called “The Bitcoin Entanglement.”

The show talks about the price of Bitcoin being $5000. By the time they shot the episode and it airs, I think the price might be $10,000.  Grin
The fact that mainstream sitcoms are devoting entire episodes to Bitcoin talks a lot about how Bitcoin has captured the imagination of the general public.

It's funny how time flies, don't you think? I remember when Bitcoin was just a novelty featured in science fiction series as the money of the future and now we're starting to see every day in the mainstream news and series and movies. The huge wave of money we were all waiting for might be getting ready to move in once everyone will want to try it out and have a piece of future in their hands.

This should be fun to watch, and As long as these sitcoms don't miss represent how bitcoin can be used then we are guaranteed of an increasse in cryptocurrency usage, and its good to see more media houses endorsing this technology.

Extra exposure is always welcome. I however hope that their view on Bitcoin isn't any different from how the reality is. Quite often when I see Bitcoin being subject of a short documentary, they explain Bitcoin in a wrong manner.

It's annoying that they do so when you take into consideration that the general public easily takes things being said on tv for granted. I call them simple minded people because they aren't able to think further.

Things have changed considerably in the last year. Where news reports about Bitcoin were mainly negative, they now have quite a positive tone to them, which has had a significant impact on these simple minded people.

As easily as they took the media trash talk for granted back in the days, they now do so with the general bullish sentiment that gets covered on tv.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

That's a nice thing and I hope, that they made a thorough research about Bitcoin and that they convey it right. Every mentioning of Bitcoin in the main stream media is a good thing.
I just realized, that even the Mr. Robot series mentions Bitcoin in season 3, even though the series is less popular than Big Bang theory and it applies a lot of technical knowledge during the computer scenes.

People are always expecting a massive increase when they heard bitcoin are going to get tackled in a show either popular or much popular. The important thing for me is viewers will be aware of this cryptocurrency and that is more than enough for me.

No doubt there will be an increase in Google and YouTube searches for Bitcoin following the show - at least in the U.S. - when they mention the price being at $5k. Imagine how people will react when they see that the price has actually reached $9k+, maybe even $10k+.

FOMO anyone?

And after they aired that episode we should expect for the price to go higher. Bitcoin will certainly gain more popularity from that episode and if a small percentage of the 12M viewers will invest to bitcoin we should expect another boost on the price of the coin.
