If it's about money, then it could be anything from 8*$200 = $1600 for GTX 1060/3 or RX 570/4, to 8*$750 = $6000 for GTX 1080 Ti. Add $400-800 for the board/cpu/ram/ssd/risers/psu(s). Either will be a "good rig".

Where are you and what GPUs are you looking at?

You could do it for about $2400 on the low end and $6400 on the high end, depending on what GPUs you want to run. What are you trying to mine?

Haha, no more gpu's.

I know miners don't like numbers (except those that run in that black box).

With ~3000€ for good GPU, ah ok you should pay a bit extra to build a rig with 6 GPUs GTX 1070, or a rig with 12 cards RX580.

This estimate is from the top of my head to give you a rough picture of what an inexpensive budget build costs but actual prices may vary.

8x GTX 1060 = 220*8 = $1760
1x MULTI PCIE MOBO = $80
1x 64 GB SSD = $30
1x 4GB RAM = $30
1x 1200W SERVER PSU = $120

Based on those listed above, other peripherals not included, building a rig will cost you a total of around: $2020

And I suggest you go with this last option as the cheapest one which would still do you about 15 USD daily with current bitcoin price and using Claymore Dual Miner 10.2 mining Ethereum+LBRY, a hashrate for such card goes 23 Mhash/22.7Mhash when overclocked like you should.

As others have put you can do a build for 2k but if you have more money then 6k is easily spent in order to get a very decent hash rate.

But if you're looking at doing it with those GPU's you've got..as for a little investment you'd get a better return for the power consumption.
