I ran a test yesterday and today to see if claymore really was faster than other miners as it claims...  And Turns out it's pretty much the same speed.

Using Hashvault mining pool for this test

Yesterday I ran claymore for 24 hours,  then made a note of the 24 hour poolside hashrate..

Then ran XMR Stak AMD for 24 hours and also made note of the 24 hour average...

Claymore reports much higher hashrate clientside,  but as you see the poolside hashrates (where it matters) are pretty much the same.

Does anyone else confirm or disprove this?
Could some other people run similar tests with different pools to compare results?

I'll be using XMR_STAK_AMD for the forseeable future.  I'm also going to have to wipe this machine as I can't trust that it hasn't been compromised.  If Claymore Miner is Lying about it's hashrate,  and being closed source,  who knows what else it may be lying about.

Interesting! You also see a firewall warning for many of his miners (in windows).

But for Cryptonight his miner actually works with AMD open cl 1.2 cards which is really great work.

Yes the hashrate may be different but its still one of the only decent mining softwares out there. Also most of us use it on a standalone machine with no other information on. No need to worry about security risk or anything else claymore might be “lying about”.
