we all know how good is ethereum in terms of it and this is a good altcoin to choose also and you really know the positive way of it so better to choose it but if you are looking beside of the altcoin why dont you try to take some other altcoin like Ripple , monero and neo coins they are in a good way also and in the top 10 coins that are good in trading.

Well ltc would be a good choice it has some risks involved i had bought mine at $75 and sold couple at $86 the price increased to $90 and fell again some are suggesting it will bypass $100. There is risk of falling as well.
Another coin would be omg it is good for holding short term as well as for long term , entry zone should have been $8.4-$8.6 but looks like the price is surging towards the $9 mark you can buy now and sell for a 10% profit which is $9 in short run or for $12 in long run.

Isn't eth really risky this looks like a nice pump and since reaching it's highest point it got dumped again eventually the price can reach $500 which doesn't make it worth to risk in short term for a profit as low as $20.

A coin having big volume doesn't mean it can be profitable see bch or btg who trades with that shit to make profit it simply get's pumped and dumped.

you better don't trade at the first place, because according to your question it can easily be concluded that you have no idea how to trade. Altcoins are extremely volatile which means they are very easily manipulated and their value changes really fast. Someone without a lot of experience might get rekt in an instant, and that is what usually happens. If you want to trade coins why not trade at least BTC or ETH which are relatively more stable, the rest of the altcoins are fluctuating way too much for you to forecast any movement. It's really difficult. Before you get into crypto you could start trading on the FOREX market and make sure you understand first the traditional dynamics and technical analysis before moving to the crypto one's (which are more dangerous).
