Hi all!
With bitcoin flying to the moon, a lot of people expected a (huge) crash. In perspective of other crashes, how will the price of altcoins react when bitcoins drops to say $6.000? Will altcoin go up or down?

For obvious reasons, the crash of Bitcoin will have a positive impact on the price of altcoins, providing them some breathing room to attract investors. Then again, only clear cut and well established altcoins stand a chance to show growth and progress while the innumerable shitcoins without a proper purpose will continue to suffer.

So that means (when u think bitcoin will crash) go go go ETH, LTC, ASH, etc..
But will a Hugh crash of bitcoin also have negative effect on the price/interest in altcoins? I can imagin people will have doubts on stability, durability and or the money paid for any crypthocoin. Will this have no effect on the altcoins? Or will this move from BTC to altcoin be way bigger that the number of quiters?

Bitcoin Cash was pumped hard late October and is the reason why Bitcoin was dropped hard low from $7,000 down to $5,000. When Bitcoin will crash then Altcoins will rise and will be the same every time there's sudden dump in every Cryptocurrency.

Crypto-Currency movement is really indeed unpredictable and if there's a sudden dump then people would freak out and tagging Bitcoin Cash as a joke. And I found no basis for a Bitcoin Cash being a joke because it was created to be the rival of Bitcoin and top Altcoins. Bitcoin Cash deserves to be the next Bitcoin and people cannot accept that.

When Bitcoin dropped down hard then people freaked out and they're dumping their Bitcoin and shift to other coins so that was actually happened when Bitcoin was dumped and Bitcoin Cash was pumped.

The other way around is also true? Actualy thats not what is happenings at this moment. The whole coin index (top 10) is in a big move up with prices going for the moon.. first time for me seeing this, so im still a bit shocked at the numbers and volatility of the crypto’s. Only Google brought me here, MSM almost does not mention this side of the economy. Glad to be here befor the majoriteit of people is acceptant the cryptocoins. Still some large crumble of the cake for me

Bitcoin cash is a joke because it's owned by the chinese mining cartel with some no name dev backed by fake satoshi and judas ver. Google roger ver mt gox and what he did in the past. Bitcoin cash is still using old tech with increased block size. One day there will only be select few people able to run nodes for bitcoin cash. You know what happens if there are only a few nodes? They can steal and gift themselves bitcoin cash if all the node owners come together and agree. Bitcoin cash might be pumping the short term but tell me do you see mass merchant adoption for bitcoin cash? Anyway I rather hold btc and get free fork dividends like bitcoin gold, bitcoin diamond....+new forks than touch bitcoin cash because to me it is a joke. "Satoshi: If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry." At the end of the day though I don't think either btc or bch will die off because too much money is already invested and both sides got diehard fans, but no way in hell bch will dethrone btc. If anything else another altcoin with completely different or better tech might dethrone btc.

It's hard to say. If money flows out of all cryptos then altcoins will be affected as well, and since bitcoin is the number one crypto i think that this is the most likely scenario to happen. Bitcoin will be dumped, alts will get dumped, but at a lesser scale. There are alts that have been historically been associated to fiat more than BTC, though. One example would be monero, and even ETH. These coins will be hit the least, and will probably rise in BTC valuation.

I think it's probably better to keep money in tether or fiat and wait for buy in unless something like the "flippening" happens.

I think you are too exaggerated to say like that, altcoin is only a small part of the Bitcoin copy and many people are starting to recognize altcoin from Bitcoin. this means the Bitcoin price will be higher and will not fall too deep. Altcoin will grow up when they have something news which makes it better.

ya, from what i see some altcoins only up when they're get pumped or dev have some important updates, and bitcoin price nowadays not really affect when it down, at last time when bitcoin down. altcoin price not really move

When Bitcoin crashes then Altcoin will retain its value but it depends on the altcoin you have If you are holding altcoin like top 10 I think their Bitcoin value will go up to adjust the value with usd

There is a saying that "bitcoin did not need the support of altcoins to grow but altcoins need bitcoin to grow" this saying has proved to be real since the beginning of this year. In September when bitcoin was making a significant corrections we can all see that altcoins was also falling and when bitcoin was increase some of the altcoins was still falling because traders were converting their altcoins hold to bitcoin in other to get free coins. You should not expect bitcoin to be falling and altcoins will be increasing in price as in reality this has not happened for once.

It's indefinite. We cannot clearly speculate on this thing, but as we all know some alt coins are greatly oppositely affected by the Movement of Bitcoin's Price. Crash cannot be seen and there is no supporting details about this, since there is no BIG FUD news generating FUD for a Big sell out, there is no also upcoming hard fork on Bitcoin. So the only supporting news here is the CME, if it will be executed and implemented well, Bitcoins will continue to rise however, if this Bitcoin Futures was just made for the Big Whales to get a big money out of Bitcoin, then a definite crash will surely happen, but then again, no one can support this statement until the time has come for CME to implement and start the operation of Bitcoin Futures.

We saw Bitcoin go down heavily in mid November due to a dump and forks. But it recovered fast and now it's passed the $9700 mark, and heading for $10K for a new record. On the other hand, Altcoins are affected by this movement, Altcoins have started increasing in value and we see this on coins like Ethereum that went from $300-$500 in less than 1 month. BCash on the rise too, so is BGold.

I think, too, there will be a recession, now there is a rare case of simultaneous hoisting and bitcoin and altcoins, but their recession is not uncommon and abrupt. So you need to use the moment while.

In fact crypto currency's movement hard to predict, still if you say bitcoin will crash to 6000$ , i would go to buy Bitcoin again at $6000 level and also people will feared about bitcoin so they will turn to invest their capital to altcoins , so altcoins will pumped and rise more but i think no currency will over take Bitcoin because bitcoin is world wide ever green currency and I don't think bitcoin will crash to 6000$.
