I was wondering how I would power 100 Antminer S9, I have 3 phase power supply so that would mean 300 amps only.

But my guess is Antminer S9's official PSU's draw 6amp but says on the PSU 10amp max so that would mean I would be 100 * 10 = 1000 amps.

Can anyone suggest what would be the best way to go about this?

Thanks

Folks, working with this much power is NOT a DIY project. Blindly getting into this is a good way to be killed. If you are not at least a registered electrician (and obviously the OP is not) -- HIRE ONE. Better yet, hire an electrical design firm that deals with large commercial/industrial projects.

I agree it's a lot of power but it should also be possible to have 100 Antminer S9 without having to spend too much on electrician if you get what I mean right? I'm sure fellow miners will have some ideas on how to minimise cost.

Dont try to cut your corner here and there, that will later in the future bite you. Do you want certain amount of your miners to burn or something worse to happen? If you have money to buy 100 miners, and pay electricity hiring 1 electricity man wouldn't be problem at all....

Again, it must be emphasized this is a VERY DANGEROUS project to start your learning about electrical wiring and distribution!! If you are not comfortable with and already have experience doing at least basic wiring in your home DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT doing this yourself and learning along the way.

Yes.. You have a 3 phase supply but what is your main circuit breaker that supplies your facility? If that is not enough to power those miners.. Then you have to request first to your electric company for your required electricity supply.

Then hire an electrical contractor as others would suggest. This is not a DIY project even if you know how to wire them. It should be designed properly with correct load schedule, wire and breaker sizing. Prepare your proposed miner layout for the contractor to design the cabling layout properly.

Also have your HVAC designed by a professional too. That is a lot of heat load to remove and manage.

This is a big investment and should consult a licensed professional electrical and hvac contractor.

Cheaping out on electric contractor might end up in a disaster.

So it seems like it is easily possible to have 50 Antminer S9 in the UK as long as the building has 3 phase power supply, cost of setting it all up is around £5k from a qualified electrician and you will also need extractor fitted for heat to leave the building and louvre for air to come in which is another £5k.

So to run 50 Antminer S9, here is a simple process! It is definitely not as complicated as people have made it out to be!!

You will need:

1) Order 50 x Antminer S9
2) Order 50 x PSU
3) Rent an Industrial Unit with 3 phase supply
4) Order Shelves to house the miners (you don't need anything fancy or expensive believe me!)
5) Get an Electrician to install sockets / upgrade Fuseboard
6) Get an electrician to fit extractor and louvre
7) Wait for your Machines
Cool Plug them in and setup
9) Wait for them to mine
10) Enjoy!

It might be cheaper to have multiple units than paying to get supply head upgraded.

Unless you can get an old factory for quite a cheap rent that has high supply already in place.

U forget strong fans for cooling. It is best to overdo the fans...add more cooling

Selling 100 dollar coupons (8units expire 11th June, 14 units expire 1st july) and 125 dollar coupon (2 unit exp 30th June). Selling at 20% of value

Thanks for this list... I hope your project went well... did you actually do it ?
(just curious  Shocked)

Also... do you know the requirements for cooling the facility where you host the miners?

Any recommendations if you're having 100 S9 Antminers?
I mean would 3 Phase do it? or must upgrade to something else?

Good luck with your project  Smiley
