Hi,

BitCoal jumped 500% today from 100 satoshi to over 600.

Do you think that now we will see a massive dump or it will pass 1000 satoshi? What is the reason for this jump?

actually i am very curious about this coin too. not so special when i look at their website + they have a dump-pump period like in every 7-8 days but never did that much increase. My vote is that it will drop to 0.02$ again in  2 days but who knows what happens:)

I also think it will drop to 150-200 satoshi at best.

I entered at nearly 300 satoshi and I'm still on. I think to exit in next hours but still can't decide when exactly. May be at 750-800?!

750 is a good limit to wait(observing realtime for like 2 hours) i dont think it will hit 800 or more for today. but it is a good "high risk high gain" coin i must say:)

But the price jumped 600% in bitcoin, not fiat. Many of alts are falling these days, especially at Cryptopia.

Anyway, I exited at 686-710 satoshi for a nice profit because I don't like the resistance at 720-780 satoshi.  I'm done with this trade Smiley

Never heard of this coin before, but most probably it was just a pump and dump.
But good call, always nice to sell at the right moment to have profit!

BIG WINNER!

Here you can find what ever you need to open a wallet
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1635047.msg24919766#msg24919766
Because this project has been abandoned (attempts to contact thread OP failed), we have decided to step in and maintain the project ourselves (members of community).

The official website is now expired, so we have set up a replacement http://getbitcoal.org

Also, we have worked on porting over the bytecoin gui wallet to use the forknote codebase with an embedded config and now have a working standalone BitCoal GUI Wallet for everyone:
https://github.com/bitcoal/bitcoalwallet

Available for Windows and Linux (tested).  Easily mine bitcoal directly in the gui, explore blockchain, send receive, tx history etc.

Still compatible with forknote, we have updated seed nodes on the official forknote configs repository https://github.com/forknote/configs/blob/master/bitcoal.conf

We will see about making another thread or if a mod can update information in this ANN.

Many very low market cap coins routinely move up or down 100s of percent
on very little volume so need to be careful there.

No, it's not a Bitcoin fork.  You could read more from their ANN: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1635047.0

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoal/

That's only having a little volume for daily trade. it seem meaningless to say about the bitcoal will be pumped or not for sure. The low volume will give easy way to pump the coin. That will different if you are seeing about another coin with huge volume. With a btc and you can pump bitcoal to the moon.
