Only one, word of mouth. That is, if they inquire about it. I don't go around anymore telling people how great Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency market is. I tried it in the past but I got shut out! So I realized, why bother?! They're not my responsibility anyways! Why create a burden that could slow me down or stress me out? Why go to them, when they can come to me?! Let them make the initiative this time. I'm tired of convincing others. They'll see the changes in me. That I think will be the best way to promote this system.

It is not like that we, who already know about bitcoin and is already earning bitcoin, have a responsibility to do things like that. To walk around and talk about crypto earning. Honestly, they can hear about bitcoin on news, local and foreign, social media sites and etc. so even if we do not do the talking, bitcoin will likely do the talking itself. What will be important is the matter of interest because even if we preach how profitable bitcoin earning is, it will not be profitable for them if they don't believe.  With the modern technology, more ways are available now for people to earn money without doing interviews and regular employment but not all people see it like this.

Now, I do agree that it is best to let people hear about bitcoin somewhere else especially now at this rate. Let them the one who will come to you because that means that they have interest already.

I can feel what you gone through cause I was also shut out like that before by a friend of mine not to talk of a stranger but i was so surprised when i saw talking about crypto currency the last time we chat. Im promoting through advertising some ads related to bitcoin and how much i can earn from it, i also tell my friends on how to make money online they seem to be interested in it. Right now 4 of my friends are doing bitcoin and some people ive meet in facebook have invested in it. It's not that hard to encourage people here since they're very open about tech stuff and money. Since IT people (students, professors..etc.)  knows about bitcoin already (or probably they've heard about it), you just need to explain it's legitimacy and how it works including the other cryptos. I don't make them invest instantly. I don't overwhelm them with jargons terms here. I want them to explore by themselves simply by joining here at bitcointalk.org. I guide them here, and it's their preference if they want to risk some money for trade and investment or if they want to mine or just join bounty campaigns and airdrops while studying. My parents and aunts are also curious about what I'm up to (cryptos) because they're seeing results (money) from what I'm up to here at bitcointalk since I prefer to do or join airdrops and campaigns.
