Do we need to have a common language around the world?
Kindness is a universal language as said by one of the beauty queens. And I think it is true. You may not understand one another's native language but through kindness and hospitality, everyone can express their feeling without saying a single word.

There has always been universal language (lingua franca) throughout history. Latin, Mediterranean lingua franca, French, for purpose of trade, diplomacy etc. Now days it is English. But none of these languages has ever been able to substitute mother tongue. However well you speak English as a non-native speaker you will never be able to express yourself in English in all aspects of life.

Do we need to have a common language around the world?
Have you ever imagined how fantastic it would be if everyone spoke the same language? We would not have these barriers imposed by speech, I believe that the relation between the countries would improve, not to mention the innumerable advantages that this would bring in the cultural, musical, artistic and cinematographic aspect.

It is a lot more complicated than just creating one language that everyone can speak. Language is not made up only of vocabulary and grammar, the whole culture of a nation is a vital part of the language itself. Just think about expressions, idioms, and realia, these all have roots in the culture where the language is spoken in. This is one of the main causes of miscommunication when talking to a person whose native tongue is different from yours. The native language has an enormous influence when learning a foreign language. The reason why Esperanto was a failure is that there was no single culture behind it. Even with globalization, there will still be certain cultural differences between different groups of people.

Yeah but i think the common language is just a language that everyone can understand when we are speaking that language. English is already solved that problem so i don't think we need another language anymore.

Yes, we need. Because not every country has same language to talk. And everyone uses mostly their mother tongue after born. But we must communicate with other countries. For this, we need a common language to communicate and so that we can express ourselves to anyone.

Imagine the ASEAN summit where the world leaders were gathered and they all spoke their native language. Have a beer, and rethink that thought.

Language - a complex sign system, naturally created by the person and correlating the conceptual content and type sound (writing). The term "language", understood in a broad sense, can be applied to arbitrary sign systems, although it is more often used for narrower classes of sign systems.

Do we need to have a common language around the world?
Artificial attempts to create such a language were already there. It was called Esperanto. But he did not receive wide distribution. Today it is enough to know English, so that you can understand in any country.

And why does the world have a single language? There is an international one, and not just one. The world perfectly communicates with their means while preserving and developing their national and ethnic languages.

In history, the man was originally only two people, Adam and Eve. And I'm sure they only speak one language. And I do not understand why now there are thousands of languages in the world and it complicates us. If there was only one language, communication with foreigners would have been much easier.

It would be nice, but in general that is impossible. It would be hard to get used to it, and it took a lot of time for all the people on world to begin to communicate that "language".

In the history of our ancient ancestors , there were no different languages that people spoken , its only one language that they are using , until the tower of babel is made. There starts people to use different language. And i think that it is necessary to use common languange around the world. And i think english languange is the common that people are using now.

Of course we need, it would be easier for everyone. I do not see the point of the small languages, which speaks no more than a couple of million people. I think for this role is best language is English, because of its popularity, we all remember the British Empire and size of its colonies, and because of the simplicity of the language
