RIP Michael Hastings. Reporter working on "big story" about CIA killed

The same reporter whose 2010 Polk award-winning article in Rolling Stone that lead to the resignation of U.S. Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal as U.S. commander of coalition forces in Afghanistan and subsequent article in CIA Director General Patraeus's resignation has been killed in a suspicious car accident in Los Angeles on June 18.

[/u]AMERICAN journalist Michael Hastings told colleagues he suspected he was being investigated by the FBI just hours before he was killed in a fiery car crash in Los Angeles.
Hastings, a former Buzzfeed and Rolling Stone reporter, also revealed he was "onto a big story" in an email that has alarmed his former colleagues and created mass suspicion among online commentators.
The 33-year-old made his big break while writing for Rolling Stone when he triggered the downfall of General Stanley A McChrystal with a damning profile on "The Runaway General". He also had stints reporting from war-zones in Afghanistan and Iraq.
On the subject of his car accident, the LAPD says there are no signs of foul play. His Mercedes reportedly hit a tree at high speed, causing the car to burst into flames. But there are some eyewitness accounts which suggest his car exploded before impact.

Was Michael Hastings murdered?
Yes.
At least according to a report by Hastings’ good friend, Staff Sgt. Joseph Biggs, who received a frantic email hours before Hastings was incinerated after his car supposedly slammed into a tree.
In the email, Hastings describes being investigated by the FBI and needing to go into hiding in order to work on a “big story.”
According to Joseph Biggs, Elise Jordan, the widow of Michael Hastings, not only believes Hastings was murdered, but vows to bring his murderers to justice!

Hastings had been a thorn in Barack Obama’s side for a long time and had just published a book highly critical of him,  revealing him as an emperor with no clothes. Did the trail of dead bodies that seem to gather around Obama add another victim? Did Barack Hussein Obama’s NSA or CIA, while snooping on every single American, do a little “side job” for him?

Wikileaks revealed that their lawyer, Jennifer Robinson, was contacted by Hastings just hours before his death claiming that he was being investigated by the FBI.
Hastings sent an email to colleagues hours before his death stating: re:NSA... I'm onto a big story and need to go off the radar for a bit.
One eyewitness described the crash as such: "The Car Was Bouncing, Flames and Sparks Near the Gas Tank. When He Hit the Palm Tree That's When the Flames Were Higher. There Were Explosions and Everything... No One Could Approach the Car Because it Kept Exploding."
The accident only involved Hastings car, no other vehicles.
Another witness described the scene: "It sounded like a bomb went off." "My house shook, the windows were rattling."
Hastings was driving a new Mercedes C250, a car not prone to bursting into flames before a crash.
Hastings had worked on numerous articles critical of the establishment, including: The Rise of the Killer Drones: How America Goes to War in Secret, Julian Assange: The Rolling Stone Interview, Another Runaway General: Army Deploys Psy-Ops on U.S. Senators, America's Last Prisoner of War.
One of Hastings articles had resulted in the forced resignation of General McChrystal.
The Mercedes' drive train was about 50-60 yards away from the crash site.
Hastings had said in a 2012 Reddit AMA that he received numerous death threats.
When he died, Hastings was working on a story regarding current CIA director Brennan.
