I think he brings up a valid point hinting at what a possible trajectory of adoption might look like.

He's talking about his decision to accept Bitcoin being influenced by the fact that it's cumbersome and prone to human error to use credit cards and companies providing mechanized solutions for accepting credit cards won't bother with him because his company is too small.

What this seems to suggest to me is the following: We shouldn't look all dog eyed towards Amazon or Ebay to start accepting Bitcoin in order to boost adoption. As usual, established giants in their respective markets can be expected to adapt later to changing circumstances, rather than lead. Instead we should strive towards adoption by small merchants. This is a good fit, because in cases as the above Bitcoin provides them with options they would otherwise be denied, because they are small merchants.

The Godess salutes the man for choosing her holiday (23.5.) for starting to accept Bitcoin.

It's all bullshit. But bullshit makes the flowers grow and that's beautiful.
