Hi all,

I need to reset my ledger nano s, however I have XRP coins and I am second guessing my seed that I wrote (probably more paranoia then anything). To play it safe, I would like to transfer my coins from my ledger and then following a reset, transfer them back.

What is the best way to do this? Should I create a paperwallet or do this via github? The idea is that I eventually transfer them back to my ledger, completing removing them from the intermittent platform I used to temporarily hold them

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated

Thanks

You can create an address via github (e.g. https://octillionsa.github.io/generate-ripple-wallet/).
Take care and do this step on an offline pc. After you have sent your xrp to this new address, you can reinitialize your ledger.
To send your xrp back to the ledger you again have to log into an offline pc and sign the transaction offline, then publishing it on an online device.

But you also could just check your seed on an offline device. For this you can download a BIP39 address generator (btc) and compare the top addresses with your ledger address.

Thanks so much. The second options seems the best as I will be double checking it for future reference.

Cheers Bob!
