Singapore-based night club Skyline announced today that it will enable the use of Ethereum as a payment method for food and drinks. The result of a collaboration between the night club and cryptocurrency platform COSS, visitors will be able to use their Jaxx and Ethereum Free wallets to pay bills through the COSS POS System.

“We hope to expand this two-day trial of Ethereum acceptance as payment for drinks and food into a daily acceptance of multiple crypto currencies,” said Skyline operator Subaish Rajamanickam in a press statement, where the company also dubbed cryptocurrency as “the future of money.”. The night club aims to be the first in the country to implements such system.

If you are a merchant there will be many advantages to receiving virtual money as a payment. First, the processing fee is paid by the sender, and the merchant does not pay anything to receive the funds. This cost is much lower than traditional payment networks.
This will be followed by many other companies.

If I were to use bitcoin, I wouldn't consider it at all, who would pay a few dozen dollars for the miners, for a nice cup of wine?

That is not interesting at all  Roll Eyes I will give my ether for drinks instead of local currency. I can't see any revolutionary thing? It is also risky for business owners if eth crashes.

Well, if we have to look at ethereum to famous someday I guess that there should be an exact point that eth might be able to be a demand of adoption like bitcoin does in a previous years. Accepting ethereum for payments for now is not yet probable because we only appreciate that only with tokensales and not actually with any product like any goods or something, maybe some peer to peer transactions from people online. That's purely a digital idea of using ethereum on payments not with physical products to use for, but if singapore now were into development of ethereum based adoption then we can see the actual phase in the future.

Thanks for sharing this great news. Ethereum fees still adequate for small transactions like those needed in night clubs.
