I'm not really familiar with how VISA/MasterCard work, but I'd like to know if there's a way to use them and pay in bitcoin or any other crypto currency. My main interest is paying for exams/application fees for my post graduate studies, so small limit on account transactions aren't a big problem.

You basically send your coins to the website and you get credited in your balance and then transfer the money to your card ( in your member area) Pretty easy to use. When you never used before it can be confusing but it's easy as 1.2.3. Then you can use the card with any merchant accepting VISA/Mastercard network.

Some of these services that you can take a look at are Cryptopay, BitPay, Xapo, CoinBank. Wagecan, Wirex, Bonpay, Bitwala, Spectrocoin, there are a few others as well. But if you're from outside Europe then you may have a little problem. Most of them don't accept any more (since August) customers outside Europe (Wagecan may be the only one, and perhaps BitPay)

In general, you are buying PREPAID FIAT MC/Visa card in all cases. There is no Crypto currency cards.
Then you are selling your bitcoins to the card operator and he's loading your card with fiat.

Usually cards are in Euro / USD / GBP. Keep in mind that all cards are taxing you exchange fee ~2-4% if you are paying in non-card currency.

My favorite is Spectrocoin.

if not you are from outside europe (asia) you can still use bitpay for this.
if you are very lay about hali this bitpay is a recommendation from me.
because this is very easy and will not make you confused.
in this matter if you have started trying and using it
this will not be difficult and will make your life more practical Grin

@LeGaulois

The issue of people outside Europe is that both Visa and MasterCard issued a statement of stopping the extension of their services to people outside the EU region in the case of crypto currency and its largely due to KYC policies in my opinion and that made some card providers stopped their services especially those whose major clients is coming from non-EU countries even BonPay had to change their targeted population with that statement.

What is the difference between crypto master cards and fiat master card? If you are gonna provide your documents for verification, Why would you use crypto master cards with higher fees? If there is something especial using crypto cards I can't see what that would be.

There are several prepaid debit card services which convert your bitcoin into fiat for use it anywhere for withdrawing money from ATM or using it where Visa debit card is accepted. Famous services in my knowledge are Cryptopay and Bitpay cards. Actually you are not paying purely in bitcoin using these cards , your bitcoin are converted into dollars or other paper currency for use.

In trend most of the peoples are using bitcoin in their country like china an so on. But some countries are still not accepting to use crypto in their country.so, In my thought is why should you take this decision it may confusing you. In simple way if you got a bitcoin just trading it into your fiat then transfer your currency into your account and use your VISA/Mastercard just pay the fees or what would you like to pay.

Don't you know the crypto debit cards. Those cards can be useful to have your bitcoin stored and can be accessible with the any ATM available in the world. There is certain amount of fees you have to bear it while you are using the cards at ATM and usage.
You may find these services in the sites like Bitpay, Xapo, spectrocoin and many more. Fees will be collected monthly from the wallet amount you have.

As reported on financemagnates.com, Bitcoin Cash Visa Debit Card is Coming Soon, it appears that BCH is also trying to partner with banks and card companies to better serve its users.

Not sure if that is good or bad and how reliable the BCH blockchain is. I heard the miners come and go to where its more profitable to mine.

There are many services that offer virtual as well as physical debit cards. These cards can be used in any online store or actual stores where visa/mastercard is accepted.
As you need to pay for examination fees, you can just order a virtual card and pay online. The card would be loaded up with cryptocurrency, usually bitcoin, at the current btc/usd rate. I had used spectrocoin virtual card in the past, but they seem to lower the limits for unverified accounts.

There are many other options available to transfer the funds to Master/Visa cards. You can involve any third party in between and get it done by their help. Make sure that the third party you are involving is a trusted one and not a scam.

The direct payment is not in practice as the banking systems have recently shown some inclined towards the crypto currency. Future is guaranteed hopeful, but at this time, you have to take a long way.

There are some options on the market today (Wirex, Xapo, Uquid we have other lesser known as well) which is only you send your balance in btc (prepaid cards) that they give a visa card for you can use in any establishment. I did not get to consult the rules and the rates of the card but generally they are well inferior to the conventional banks, taking away also the fact of being something quite revolutionary the type of service.

I have heard that you can pay make Visa and MasterCard payments using bitcoin. But I am not sure how to do it. I think Advcash allows you to do card payments with bitcoin. But I don't know what are the fees. As in my calculations it should be above 5%
I think it is new to the market and that’s why many people do not have the idea how to use their Visa or MasterCard to pay with their bitcoins. But in the near future this technology will be familiar to everyone. Then the use of bitcoin will be more way and reliable than today. Then may the investment ratio also increase due to the use of bitcoin everywhere you want. The fee should be normal and fear.
