today i wanted to send some coins from my nostalgic 1.6.2 (all newer version start only with compatibility modus on my win7)

and get this error:
Code:
error: {u'message': u'TX rejected', u'code': -22}

what i tryed so far:

same electrum.dat with 1.7.2
restore from seed with 1.8 Portable version /win7 x64 compatibility modus XP SP2
restore from seed with 1.8 Portable version /winXP  x86
changed "use change address" from yes to no
changed gap limit
all with different servers.

anybody an idea?  Huh

Dunno if this is it, but if the coins you're spending are newly generated and have not yet received 120 confirmations, you will get this message.

Thanks for the tip.  Prioritizing the address worked.  I tried everything, including restoring my wallet and it did not work, however prioritizing an address worked.  I hope Electrum will fix this bug.

Not sure if this is what I just encountered, but I'm having same problems?

Well I don't have any newly generated coin.

But I still get same TX rejected' error.

Quote
I'm having a major issue. With about 30 BTC in my electrum client, I am getting 'transaction rejected' messages trying to send any amounts to another address.

Do I even have access to these funds anymore?

Not sure what is going on, it's the same for all servers I try.

I was using the 1.6.1 version for a while, but I'm getting same errors there.

Now I tried merging to 1.8.1, but I'm getting same errors as mentioned above.

The weird thing, is I was able to send transactions earlier today; now all are getting rejected.

I backed up electrum.dat in folder before I ran new version.. Is there anyway to recoup my money?

Hoping my impatience for not wanting to wait for teh block chain didn't come back to bite me.

Please help me if you can, thanks.

Any advice? Thank you.

There was an issue with electrum-servers today which may well have caused your problem. Choose a fresh server from the selection window (electrum.be for example) and try again.

I was having this same issue today.  I tried ALL the methods mentioned in this thread, and nothing worked.  I tried everything with Windows versions 1.8 and 1.8.1 on two different PC's and was starting to panic.

My most recent coins I received had 17 confirmations, but I prioritized another of my addresses that had 200+ confirmations and the bulk of my coins.  It still would not work!

I tried changing the amount to send, increasing the Tx fee, sending to another address, sending to one of my other Electrum wallet addresses...  No luck.

Then it hit me - what if I FREEZE the receiving address that has the new coins?

IT WORKED!

When you freeze an address Electrum won't use the funds in that address when making a payment. It could be used for the addresses you have for savings.
