Hello there,

I downloaded Armory yesterday and managed to get a Wallet + restoring it with a PassPhrase

But Armory never managed to get Online. Still Offline and no loading for "Preparing Databases" started

Unfortunately i tried to send Bitcoins to it from an online Wallet. On the website the bitcoins have been sent (Blockchain.info)

But now i'd like to know how to check my Armory Wallet balance as it's still offline

The mistake is probably the following : i downloaded Armory and created my wallet before downloading Bitcoin Core.

I hope someone could help me connecting my Armory, getting it to an online mode

Nekeni

Sorry not a reply, but i am having similar problems...

so, i am using 0.96.3 and i have the latest download of bitcoincore. my blocks are in default location, i let the system install it as normal.
Armory still seems unable to locate the blocks?

i have tried a rebuild and re scan. this doesn't do anything. it says it will rebuild on next restart.
then when restarting armory, and error pops up, ' 'C:\Program Files (86)\ArmoryQt.exe.log' could not be opened:
[Errno 13] Permission denied: ' C:\\Pro.......
closing the error message and then trying again brings up armory? do i need to wait , maybe a day before opening armory after selecting a rebuild, i presume the would be some indication if a rebuild was happening?

when i open bitcoincore while armory is running, it says bitcoincore is probably already running. i presume this is because armory is using the correct directory?
i have tried putting in the correct directory manually in settings, this makes no difference.

i had armory running fine before with the older version 0.93 (i think).
i have tried to export log file, i don't have permission to save it anywhere, not even in documents? each time it says i need administrator permission. this is my own computer, i have been the one and only user?

i have heard talk of bitcoin qt or oxm, maybe or other versos, could this be the problem? i was using bitcoin -QT. then, after updating bitcoin core it rewound the blocks into OMT or whatever the new version is...

sorry i am not programming minded, and i have basic computer skills.
any help would be much appreciated.

Install Core, let it download the blockchain then start Armory. If you're still having issues, post back here.

oh ok, well i thought it would better to keep similar problems in the same place. and, maybe what i was trying might have helped Nekeni, admittedly probably not.
