Hello guys. I just want to ask for your opinion or an advice. I started trading since May 2017. I calculated all my loss, I already lost 50% of my capital . Some coins are still in hold. I just want to ask what can you give to me an advice or any learnings about trading. I'm using bittrex. Best thing is have patience, if you have done a good researcha nd the coins you are holding is not one of those shitcoins then that is what you have to do. You can also try scrapping where you take advantage of the fluctuation but it is really risky. You can also diversify your holdings. If you have spare BTC you can invest on new coins and ICO and sell them at the moment it increase in price. This might recover our losses but make sure you do a thorough research when you invest on new coins or ICO. I agree on that mate, shitcoins isn't a good investments and you will not even gain good profit in the future if you hold that for long term. Doing good research and scouting of the coin details about the progress and development of the website of the currency, I guess that it won't happen losing the 50% capital. Investing with another promising project is the best choice to do, and you should not focus only one alternative coins because its better to have an additional options so that you'll be able to take profit one by one.

Don't buy shit coins and start doing exchanges in between stable coins, you can't afford to lose that amount of your capital.

If you had bought and held Bitcoin since May you would be up quite a bit now, or Litecoin or Ethereum. If you are trading altcoins it might be a good idea for you to cash out into bitcoin every time they have a pump

I did some trading and I ended up with 20% loss after a month.....
Its where i realized that i just kept my money in BTC, ETC,ETH BCH.
It should have multiplied already....
After this realization. I am no longer trading.. Instead. I just bought coins. And plans to check on it after some months.

Maybe you should just invest in a Gunbot license, set really tight parameters so that you cannot lose.
I'd recommend picking up the license from somebody reselling their license, as you can get it much cheaper that way.

Well how can you call that a loss , as if you would have decided to buy ALTs then you would have probably decided to hold them for a year or so as well. Then now the prices might fall but after a year , mostly the prices should rise.

Take a look at my signature, open a demo account and once you're comfortable with the system deposit some money, play it really tight and you shouldn't have a problem turning a profit.

I'm not sure about the reality that took place with you. In specific I believe that you might have thought of making a large profits in a short and should have invested into low valued altcoins for a quick price pumping. Lot of traders does this, even I do, but that is always bought from the profit from other trades. The capital amount will not be used on specific buying.

Indeed, this is called learning curve of trading. For sure most traders have experienced a loss but that is probably temporary. You can get it back if you place your trades right and manage your risks. If you lost that much, don't do whatever you were doing again. Try a different strategy. Or sometimes you might have bought a good altcoin but just panicked and sold it. That should not be the case, it would still be better to stick to the plan of holding and selling high.

I am not sure how you started your trading life, but I have a feelings you are trading more like gambling. There is a lot to trading than that and apparently you did not have your strategies right. Everyone is bound to make a mistake, most especially if you enter the trading world without learning. If I am correct you must have invested in a lot of shitcoins and probably bag holding some of them right now. If you are holding a coin you still trust, then hold, otherwise if you have a chance to sell, and then do. Trading is huge and it is not something you can learn in one day, so you may need to visit Google and start looking for info.

There's also a family of revolving trend strategies that are surprisingly good for all their simplicity (check cryptoportfolio.io for example of a simple one).

I'm using bittrex. i advice with you mate wait the price pump 10 percent interest is enough to sell your coins do not wait higher price interest because is very risky have time the coins straight dip dump into the hole. I am sure most of the coins the OP was holding were shitcoins and he followed some silly advises on the forum of just buying low and selling high thinking that is just what trading is all about. He should check out the coin he is holding and how they have been fairing in the market and even if he wants to be trading shitcoins, he should never hold them for long. What is important right now, is to go learn how to trade as there is no way he can get better without learning. Dump any shitcoin you are holding. There are lots of markets you can enter now to make your profits back if you are able to learn fast.

I put 0.1 BTC into HitBtc and started trading in September just as the alt coins reached their peak. Now it’s not even worth 0.01 BTC. The surge in BTC doesn’t help if you are trading against it.

I think you need to change your trading strategy specially if that is not working from the start, just dont give up and make peace with your losses so they wont disturb your future in which your failure is part of your learning experiences for your future trading adjustment.

I think you have bought some shitcoins and you are now holding them like babies. Also you might have bought some coins when they are pumping hard and are below your buy price because every pump is followed by a dump/correction.
Try to make early exit during pump and buy coins during dumps.
Going with other coins will lead to the havoc of the loss and try bitcoin this will give you huge surprises in few time and now this is happening because the trader trend is purely toward bitcoin and altcoins are now useless and the another thing that matters is taking right decision on the right time about buying and selling and all the suggestions are enough for the overcoming the loss of the person who posted this thread,

ETH and LTC have been rising just as fast as Bitcoin has. Sure Bitcoin dominats about 54% of the total crypto market (according to coinmarket), but that means 46% of the funds are going towards trading alt-coins. Trading alt-coins can be just as profitable as BTC, if not more profitable if done right. Look at some charts lol.

I think you should look for a good teacher to teach you about trading. If not, you should choose Bitcoin to invest in long-term. That's a good strategy

You should stop buying new coins when they are increasing rapidly because of pumping. Stick with good and popular cryptos such as ethereum, ripple, litecoin. I also started three months ago but I am making 50% profit because of that.

I just want to ask what can you give to me an advice or any learnings about trading. I'm using bittrex. Try to hold the coins that still have low values for as long as you can especially if it there is no need for money at the moment. In trading, you should always buy at low price and sell at high price so if you have coins with low values at the moment, hold it or you can buy some of it. I have experienced selling at low price due to financial purposes, after a month the price of the coin suddenly goes up and I loss more than 50% of possible income. It is regretful but I used the money for my tuition so it is not that troublesome but because of that situation, I learned that I should never sell all of it and just use portion that will be enough.
