If you still hold them, you did not lose anything. You (and everybody of us) have to be more patient simply. Endurance will be also needed. the market will surely recover.

Losing half or even more than that of your capital invested in crypto is really a hard thing to bear. But with strong determination, faith and patience, you will eventually recover too and continue to move closer to having your capital multiplied 2x to 10x.

Hello guys. I just want to ask for your opinion or an advice.
I started trading since May 2017. I calculated all my loss, I already lost 50% of my capital  Sad. Some coins are still in hold.
I just want to ask what can you give to me an advice or any learnings  about trading. I'm using bittrex.
How did you manage to lose 50% of your money when you joined in May, way before the crypto boom occurred? I can imagine people who went in during the boom to have lost money in 2018, but your case seems special

loss is a valuable lesson for everyone, do not think you are a loss and you lose, behind the loss you get a lesson where you can analyze it to not do the same mistake again
sometimes trading is a battle of time, you sell you loss and if you hold the time that will answer, and you can also choose a buyback to cover losses

I would say, that you don't need to be worried, because as long as you hold your coins and not selling them, you ain't half any loss. You would lose your money just in the moment if you would sell those coins.

I essentially lost more than that so you could consider yourself lucky at that losses because I've known many of traders that almost lost 80% of what they have. But our differences to you is we don't stop  and just mourn, we still look for profitable coins and that is how we recover our losses slowly.
We should take the loss as our experience to be more careful in trading. As long as we could learn from it, the loss will be covered by profit someday. It's not that easy to earn profit from trading, so be wise while working in this cryptocurrency. Take a chance and enjoy the ride.

I know how you feel when you lose a lot of capital like that and my advice is better you record the mistakes you made so you could lose that much capital, and then you should be able to try to recover lost assets by utilizing the up and down movement of prices .

Depends on what you're trying to do...

If you're investing and have built a decent portfolio you shouldn't lose so much in the short term and if you do you should recoup it in the long run

If you're trading then the trading discussion section of this forum would be the best place to seek advice

Whatever you do don't leave your assets in the exchange if you aren't trading with them

You should be have a limit after than you stop to sell on this month.  Example you lost 10 % of capital. Stop.  On the month leave market, because you don't understand him. The better use this time for studding

Everybody here is in the same situation. That is why it is so important now not to sell the cryptocurrencies we have but hold them. I believe that soon, we will see how the bull run starts and get the profits.

I think I lost %65-70 of my money at this 6-7 month, it is huge numbers but there is nothing to do anymore, we will wait for increases and I hope we can see this increases in this year.

You know a lot of people lost theirs money during this half year, mostly that ones who hold. You should understand how to trade in waves, so you can earn something even during bear market. My favourite book is Price action, there you will find everything you need

You must be capable of manipulate your patience to avoid such losses. You appear to lose greater than 50% of your capital from buying and selling due to one mistake, you can not control your staying power and are effortlessly suffering from marketplace situations

Mostly funds are lost, when coins are sold, as soon market shows a downturn, instead of keeping a solid portfolio on long term. Also often mistakes are made on day trading with only one coin and risking too much money. Successful day traders can grab good returns already with very small investments and multiply their intial funds. So there is no need of throwing away much money on day trading.
