Hello, I am getting into the mining hobby, and purchased 4x 8 GPU's rigs (all using 1070's). Each rig would produce about 1300 watts, x4 it would be 5200 watts total. I have a space planned out for them once I receive them, the plug right now in that space is for an AC (has an AC outlet plug) 220 V and has a dedicated 30 Amps from the breaker to that plug.

I plan to use that AC Plug to power all 4 rigs, from my understanding you need a PDU such as this:
https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Metered-Rack-Mount-PDUMH32HV/dp/B0050JSCPQ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1511914789&sr=8-5&keywords=220v+PDU

How would I go about connecting that PDU into the AC outlet which you can see the image of:

The outlet looks like a 6-30r. The link is to a converter to change it to a L6-30R. Most single phase pdu's use L6-30R.

Or you could just change the outlet to a L6-30R yourself and save 30$.

Thanks, what would I use to connect into the L6-30R?

if 110v then you need a 12mm cable line, if 220v then you will need a 6mm cable line.

The pdu, but not the one you linked. That uses a different outlet. I would be careful putting a continuous high load on it without knowing the circuit wire size. I would also make sure that the double pole breaker is using a solid ground, and not trying to use a neutral.

Would this work?

So buy 6-30R convert to L6-30R, use that to connect into the power supply above, than just connect the 4 rigs all into that power supply?

What do you mean by solid/neutral for the breaker?

Yes, that pdu will work.

I would just check that the circuit is wired with proper wire size and that your service grounding is good.

The PDU says the cord is a  L6-30P but the connector is to L6-30R does that matter or will still work?

About connecting the rigs to the PDU, would they connect into a C13 or does it require another connector? I was planning on using Eve Energy plug:

https://www.elgato.com/en/eve/eve-energy

For each rig there would be 1 Eve Energy plug, and the Eve Energy plug would then have to be connected to the PDU I would assume.
