bitcoin core sounds more like another altcoin like bitcoin gold, silver, ...

i am not a software developer but 2 years for testing a block size increase doesn't sound right! does the date have anything to do with the halving?

in any case i believe by that time either SegWit is used more and the LN is doing what it is expected from it and do it soon, or we will see another altcoin be created that replaces bitcoin as a currency and store of value at the same time not just a store of value.
