What exchanger do you think is best for trading altcoins?
If you want to trade more valuable and easy to use you can use bittrex, poloniex, cryptopia, binance etc. here you can find more currencies for trade.
And if you want low withdraw fee and fast deposit confirmation you can use poloniex and hitbtc. polo take only 0.0001 btc withdraw for btc and hitbtc take 40k satoshi where rest of the exchange take   0.001-0.002 btc as fee.

I love Bittrex and EtherDelta. Few times tried to use poloniex but not liked.
Also there are some nice decentralized exchanges around will try them too.

There are many good exchanges.
Bittrex, Poloinex. Binace, Bitbump...........
You should see volume of each exchange
Higher volume = Better Exchange

Its depends on you which coin u wanna trade but my openion is use to bittrex/binance/etherdelta bcos its very easy to use and user friendly services.
Sorry man but etherdelta is not that easy to use for everybody especilly for those who don't know a lot about ethereum and how transactions behaves in the ethereum network. Bittrex has a lot of restrictions for daily withdraw limits so for someone who is willing to trade in it, it's necessary to pass through verification process and paying high fees for each withdraw. Indeed i didnt use binance platform before so i can't tell a lot about it. I suggest HitBtc as a very popular trusted platform with low withdraw fees.

I used to think bittrex but they seem to be kind of unfair regarding locking accounts and forcing verification on users.

They just want to improve the quality of services. Small traders will now leave the exchanger. But the big players will be able to earn good money there. I only trade on this exchanger

It's only good for erc20 tokens since it only supports erc20 type tokens. No bitcoin, litecoin, ripple and so forth. I personally like Bittrex and hitbtc as well. Their platforms are very well structured. You can use without questions.

Looking for what purpose it is necessary. If you want a more relaxed trade, then at large stock exchanges, and if you do not do it and pomp you should use smaller stock exchanges. But, there volotilnost above. There is more risk, but you can earn more.
