Stop the spread of FUD.

You shouldn't have initiated the withdrawal if you didn't want to withdraw your money!

Stop the spread of FUD.

You shouldn't have initiated the withdrawal if you didn't want to withdraw your money!

I don't think you understand him correctly: he does want his money out of MtGox. Only to find MtGox cannot deliver anymore.

Mind you: not on a USD transaction, but on a EUR transaction!
That is something that really worries me.

FYI: I don't do any trade through MtGox anymore as my trust was gone once the announced USD-withdrawals would not be possible. "For the time being" (Let's see how long that is gonna take). Yet - should MtGox fail, it will be bad for the adoption of Bitcoin by the general public. We simply would not want to see headlines like that. BTC would survive, but would also be facing a set back. Thankfully, we're not there YET. But I am wary of the situation at MtGox.

Come on, someone can just post the opposite and it's their word against yours.

Just take a pic, remove the personal data (if any) and post it here. Otherwise there is a good chance you might get banned, honestly.
You can't post stuff like that without verification.

Generally I find you harmless (funny actually) and haven't ignored you, but since you are one of the most ignored people here, you should back your claims.

BTC = Black Swan.

Sounds like you are talking straight up bullshit.

I have no doubt that EUR withdrawals are either delayed or suspended.  And I also expect the reasons could be unsettling.

But Mt. Gox offering to give you bitcoins in lieu of Euros is just 100% out of character for them.  They would have gone down their Rolodex of canned responses (Delay at the bank, processing as quickly as possible, we are so successful that the queues are so long etc..etc...).  "We'll give you some bitcoins instead of Euros" is simply not among those canned responses.

If your claimed conversation happened at all, I can imagine is probably went down more like this:

Troll: Has my EUR withdrawal been processed yet?

Canned Responder: It's currently in the queue to be processed

Troll: When will it be processed?

Canned Responder: As quickly as possible

Troll: Can I cancel the withdrawal?

Canned Responder: Yes

Troll: Can I buy Bitcoins and withdraw them?

Canned Responder: Yes

Troll: *starts foaming at the mouth and breaks into an incoherent rant* So your telling me I can have bitcoins, but I can't have Euros!!!

Canned Responder: My circuits don't compute, have a nice day

Obvious lies. There is no reason for mtgox to want to give you btc instead of euro. As long as you can't withdraw the euros they are only numbers on their system that can be traded for bitcoins, there is no need to force you to have bitcoins, the reality is that's all you can spend the euros on anyway.

I wonder if MtGox will make another announcement about their new banking arrangements when the two weeks are up.

The two weeks are up in the next couple of days and I believe they made the announcement a couple of days after withdrawals were suspended.

It's going to be interesting to hear what they say, if anything.

this is indeed very worrysome about MtGox.

I have the same issue. EUR withrawals dont get processed since 7 days at all.

Didn't they say that EUR withdrawals are unaffected?

If it was a test, it's your fault for risking so much money on somthing you wasn't sure would work. By the sound of it, it seems you tried canceling your withdrawn when it was already too late, and yet MtGox actually offered to give you free money to help reduce the blow but you passed on the offer.

But if the other posters here are close to the truth, then either you're just a liar, or a troll with lots of money to spare...

(I dont always get new reply notifications, pls send a pm when you think it has happened)

If what you say is true, you are doing us all a bit of an injustice by not posting the email.

You post it here and it makes thebitcoinchannel.com's front page.

No because you have your money trapped in MTGox where you can't get it out. Trying to sue MTGox for it as well will be more cost-prohibitive against just buying back in and selling on another exchange

If MtGox haven't already got their banking problem sorted out then things are going to implode this week.

I hope they hire a good PR company in anticipation of the shitstorm that looms on the horizon. I'm going to be very surprised if this issue is completely resolved this week.

The absolute best outcome for me personally would be a bad news based flash crash down to something like $50 followed by a rally back into the low $80's and then a return to the long term bear market.

It's going to be an interesting week.

its not troll they offer me BTC instead of my EUR.

AFAIK, you initiated a transfert of EUR to your account.  Then, delays (sorry for you, but it's banking)

If the price had jump +25% instead of going down.. would you be here, complaining about an exchange that dont want / cant reverse a Tx at your will ?

Stop complaining and assume your call..

I dont like MtGox at all, it's why I withdraw all (in BTC) and use other exchange more than a year ago.

Seems folks need to experience shit by themselve to leave MtGox, otherwise, most will stick with it, even after reading many complaint of other user being frustrated.

Since I leaved MtGox for other exchange, I've been really happy, and did not had bad experience trading..

P.S. It's better to buy BTC at market price and withdraw BTC, than trying to withdraw fiat via the old deprecated banking system.. After all, we all know how BTC are a lot more efficient !

I don't understand how Mt Gox got so popluar besides having the benefit of practically zero competition

people only want litecoin on there so the value goes up due to exposure, not because Mtgox is a good trading platform

not saying btc-e is the pinnacle of crypto trading, but when you look past the troll box (aka, youre being trolled if you read it and believe it) it is a markedly better website.

If BTCe had anything like the volume MtGox had then I'm sure they would also experience problems just like MtGox.

Any idiot can write a simple trading platform, making it scale is the part that sorts the amateurs from the professionals.

I try to cancel my withdraw on mtgox in EUR, they sayid they cant bring back my money but they can give me bitcoins for today price, WTF ? i dont want your shitty bitcoins i want my money. So GOX have no money at all, abandon this ship. And to you fucking pricks mtgox better selling magic the gathering cards you morons.

When you buy/sell BTC its final, no reverse. Its not like canceling a charge on the credit card, or putting a stop on a check. Grow up. You made your choice, now deal with it. They didn't screw you. You screwed yourself.
