I know about the database on https://casascius.uberbills.com/They have a Opened database which tells you which coin was opened however it was last updated at the end of 2016. Wondering if there is some easy way to check just how many of these remaining 23,459 coins took profit at $10,000 which took place today. Just want to see how strong the "Hodling" force is at $10K!

Well officially the database is meant to be scanned on a daily basis. Having been said it seems like the last record of a peeled Coin was in 2016 as you’ve mentioned. It’d be interesting to know how many coins have since been peeled (from the start of 2017) given the price hike.

i doubt many, with many international the usd psychological barrier and relative 9% day rise would not be enough to redeem. some more changing hands on the forum in recent weeks but this may change at 20-30k.

I quickly scanned the 100BTC coins which emptied their balance in 2017. Out of 63 coins only 7 were redeemed. https://casascius.uberbills.com/?type=100&status=active1314rkD2eAg5KbbxeD2WenVieoZxtsh3tG April 26th @ $130K 1313ACkvedCcRsmLmYFxp1nmMAyca2Xgtb May 19th @ $190K 1GcfZQkXxXSTP6BVgJ1gtSrUx78xgBteB2 Nov 28th @ $996K1GD8cQom8evWHTud9mfUXZ5mDtJfcEC6pZ Nov 21th @ $793K1GcKA4qfeSiP2pZVD9s5Ub7BM9TrWVKGxt May 26th @ $255K 18FtaAQhrNxpJ5ukQ4aKVzAXxaA5foDTJL Nov 29th @ $993K18gkqUsh54DH9gHhLfka4rGrzf7ZQweZrn June 14th @ $246K So it looks like out of 63 coins, 3 of them took profit at $10K. The ones above in BOLD. ---------------------------------------------------- Did a quick scan of the 25BTC coins at https://casascius.uberbills.com/?type=25&status=activeBasically at the beginning of 2017, there were 501 active, at the end of the year (till today) there were 50 which used opened. So about 10% However its too much work going manually for each address and checking the date when they were opened hence i'll post the list below and someone with some API experience can quickly compute that. 1GoW4sfgKHdK3MZxbqUNHzeJK2KijkpfPU 1GLKbs6Dteg7WK8RMauRpwJv9Wvbe5fH5e 1GLH8j4FoakJrdL4CufUDfgp2GZhrRyahG 1GDbBDqZrbCLPBXEjznAD8PTQzMVi7MAzG 1GdeEzoe4oGeNVNcEwhwSkKuitJtYijsVJ 1GLjqjzNGTW8eNbtYXcruHfp5Ra3qdzXGE 1GLKJpC8tgAsMYmxQ8jU51vgHZg9iHaSBC 1Go72ntKxGUSjoUW9iTyPU4kb5PPiYCxcg 1GoC6q4hR3pyNYwqWUeZQyTeaz9v6C5XMT 1GorsyYzPHP4sUGmBsJnidtd9QnkQc3Xvt 1GotgDMk5EzuJ3hS4d5dPDEhpTQig3vXMq 1GoV8yrL1ds7Pzr5jJUypU3zsCoGKAJQWn 1GLt9PnvpxvCJg4viW9fqQ4GvhZ75DPxTg 1GDaQETGvMYuRVUEEoBYFHCoXuuhRUcwWj 1GDcn5aS3wHCvyiPcYvkzVJeFpCcqVSu5g 1GdgNVbmDyp1rAxcmDQjziumaXLZpgKL78 1Gonk9wBV8MwEHCXW64qrjaSHaERarYFzn 1GdodLBnZN6Ftwe51HzzZnQoYhhDedR8dx 1Gdsg76rdwmSyVmdLTPdffTe4F56Gd4LmA 1Go4VtjcK3dscQaVWJS1LG1kFGnaZBLcrr 1Gdpf4VEReKSmXUsguEaWn2LPHZH8MX72W 1GoSYEKWyZmcd5pdqFnamXfWmzNjctggUJ 1GDEs8u7iAsdLCXYLBsmnnh3stwsFzVvqo 1Gd39YZrja2uj2Af9tYUTUcJH6m6xvH2qa 1GdBbVwXbYUjxBmwb4zrQHCVEdZ9mZvGRT 1GDsiNHdFZ7dnHC8tVDHVYawHGWFm7hQ9j 1Go2b7QLbYgmunoeTK3Qdkd3hbHy1AGoV2 1GohzFPLq6mL8s9Xo9BKKreJZbjwSQMJix 1GoUhsD2wfFDTJhvcXm9st3oV3dJEnmuZT 1GDp6MbERNCRtETu7j11yRZGg4k8U5qqm1 1GL3TQN1f2nmxjcHJz4D4gHJi4sjeXkRZr 1GLqyPAi6zNWDFiZv26UtAshuuADnQohPs 1QE4DkpC8EZJEywqf2JafsohGi3Q2QHLFH 1QJKxuZhmqv43uPkHjUdUSbgSR6nQRSMcs 1QHw2zKzcxK28WEmMUEDDeJCAi4QH1YS81 1Q8G1r6MWrZAHL29gTrxLUbtez2G9JVxYK 1Q9jLNuhL2HoeExZZJpkY9rv77voTKqNPN 1QCGCkefwMVwvSM55QjpJNJAmjiMLVgCT4 1qMu3ddPEGpYUP79tkGxARG9N7UfrKaA3 14Zg1N7sK7WGbBsuc8k24BNSvQzt8zVE2D 1PWXoSV9DowHU2hQyBG9jxfUncNeBLaqiw 1Px2WjMUaoXTHG7d229jwMkLdaZJiCubU8 1PY2t8UEToYtrh4ewPCgqAJKNiAkNc3zgx 1Pz1vHbKG5iKjzGzZ5PKVS3LAvqh8pnb3z 1PzCMitSjaQ1iGVxdTRzUrpDv6aLRFuUc5 1PZsr7SQiRXzTiQbfjjxG76Jd6GKjBnjZ2 1Q463uicXRPdPnMEiXrK3XywRFexKcq6ub 14xQYjpz2cB1WtBECkLEvjazr5TD2FBhif 14Y9QzPfZNJ9VmcAUvBUtt1SzgHM98p4FR 14qU9pFUtv44Q32LDuR9LzrMr8hDsBXjqi

I'm guessing people don't care to deal with the hassle of a sale and worrying if the transaction will go through smoothly.

Because they anticipate a dump and want their money ASAP, not one week later when Bitcoin is down to 5k.
I don't think that'll happen and HODL my coins, but I guess that's why.

Or they sold the Bcash and BTG during those pumps and kept the BTC. It would've been an easy $50k and they would still have the 25 BTC.

Because they anticipate a dump and want their money ASAP, not one week later when Bitcoin is down to 5k.
I don't think that'll happen and HODL my coins, but I guess that's why.
yep everyone has their price, I myself think its just as cool owning and old address as the coin itself.. especially one Mike loaded

I believe that with cas coins, unlike cheaper ones like Titanium BTCC coins, people are less likely to peel. Once you purchase a cas (Unless you bought from mike directly way back when) you pay a decent premium and you basically buy it for the history and the security. Peeling a cas makes little to no sense as you'll always be guaranteed to get some sort of premium for it regardless of the current BTC price.
