As bitcoin keeps breaking new barriers of price, it is super normal more people get curious and interested to invest on it. More people buying, more volume, more profit incoming and this happens with every single active.
I agree with you that the price of bitcoin changes and increase to a new level is just like epic, that’s people more people all over the world getting interested and invest in bitcoin which help bitcoin more to grow. |

After it reached 1000$ barier and massive advertising of this fact, yes, massive advertising let people know more about this coin + see some potentials. People see that price rises + this community plays very big role. More than 90% wants high price, more than 90% makes thread and suggest people to invest in bitcoin and they'll get big profit, this forum is full of such threads/posts. So when someone interested in bitcoin tries to google, he/she can't find any better source than bitcoin for reading and answering questions. These, big miners and big traders, they together make price so high and plus endless hope of rise, it's like rule here that bitcoin will only rise finally.

Media support,governments coming up to regulate bitcoin instead of banning it and big companies like CME entering the market by issuing bitcoin futures.Earlier,most of the financial firms were against bitcoin and they criticized it as a bubble or a ponzi scheme or a pyramid scheme.So,there was no media support also.But despite such situations,bitcoin performed very well and its price steadily increased.So at one point,those firms realized that they could no more avoid bitcoin and so they decided to enter bitcoin market and make use of it.As a result,bitcoin got heavy exposure in media which brought bitcoin new investors.All these made bitcoin price to reach ATH price. |

I agree with your claims mate. The popularity of Bitcoin does contribute in the increase of Bitcoin's price. This is because popularity heightens the demand for it. I can see numerous ads about ICOs and cryptocurrency in social medias, thus the popularity. As a result, many people are knowing what cryptocurrency is and what Bitcoin is. Then the increase in demand comes afterwards. |

Talking about the demand of bitcoins it defends upon on how many registered people increase daily. As far as many additional registered everyday much more profitable market increase also and it is good for bitcoin profit. As what ive known for today many peoplerapidly trust and trying to play bitcoin for the purpose of additional income rather than employment to certain company. I'm new on this world and i think the same thing, if we have more people interested on bitcoin we will have more demand, if we have more demand with the same offer, the price rise rise and rise, the only thing that can "kill" the bitcoind is law and the ban of bitcoin and crypto on some Nation.
yeah, let us hope and pray that no other country will add to the present country that banned bitcoin and tagged it as illegal, bitcoin must preserve its credibility, so more and more people will get into bitcoin, thus making more profit for investors in the future. |

It's not just that. If what you are saying is the only reason people are buying, then we would be in the bubble many people still talk about. There is a huge hype around bitcoin, and a lot of it comes from emotions and speculation. I won't argue with that. But let's not forget that bitcoin has real practical use, so there are a lot of people buying because they know bitcoin has all the potencial to become a new store of value asset, and if you compare it to other assets on the same category, like gold, then you must agree that bitcoin price is still very small, and it has great investment potencial. This of course is still speculation, and it could go wrong. It all depends on how regulation is done, and how investors will deal with it, but I it's not just "popularity" with no actual potencial that justifies it's popularity. thanks, i did not mention that popularity ONLY dictates the price of bitcoin, im sorry i didnt put ELSE in the last sentence, but thanks for this input, investment is based in speculations, but backed up by proof of POSSIBLE profit and earnings, that is the essence of investments, if we are talking about POTENTIAL, you are already speculating. |

The main reason the demand is increasing right now is because new investors are coming in and they are expecting a lot from it. I cannot say yet how long this will keep up though, but the whole speculation going on in the media and the flashes on investor's eyes and the possibilities of bitcoin increasing even further has made a whole lot of investors to want to be a part of it. |

I personally would say its a combination of several things happening and not only about popularity because bitcoin is already popular with lots of people knowing about it already but they choose not to act or the percentage that act in my opinion, is not enough to command the increase in price that is being witnessed. In addition to that, a lot of current players are putting in more money in areas of workable ICO projects and the forks that is happening every month.
You really don't think it's because of the awareness and popularity Bitcoin has garnered that keeps the demand and price up? Come on dude. That is the major reason price is up. Can you compare the level of awareness now about Bitcoin and what it used to be even a year ago and the price difference? Personally, I became aware of Bitcoin around this time last year. Price was barely $900 and it was a good price then considering what it price was at its inception. 2018 is just around the corner and I expect Bitcoin to bypass $30k. Demand is increasing daily. |

That is the summary of the cause of the increase; more people being absorbed into the Cryptocurrency world. And this is just the beginning as a lot are yet to join because of different reasons but I believe there will be an explosion next year as a lot will become convinced to adopting the Cryptocurrency. I do also feel that other coins will be given some leverage too to grow just as the bitcoin has; betterstill, another coin to be given the center stage like the power given to bitcoin. |

some of them are just FOMO but that is not the major reason why it rises that much in a short period of time, some reasons are newly joined big investors which we can call them whales because they saw huge potentials to bitcoin than stock markets or in traditional trading, they just ride the hype train but at first they are the hesitant type of people but the time they saw the pump in just matter of days, they immediately go for the cryptocurrency, another thing is the technology demand and life adaptation, would you really know if bitcoin exist without an internet? probably you will just hear it from your friend but that is a rare case to see, the time smartphones computers with internet came to a demanding stage that's the time bitcoin starts to get a momentum to increase its price little by little. |
