To be competitive yes, but I don't think you need to learn English to be successful. There are alot of entrepreneurs who actually don't know a shred of English but are successful enough to hire translators. What I'm saying is that learning English could give you an edge and be globally competitive, but learning this language to be successful is kind of a reach. Besides, different people have different views of success.

We learn it just to be able to communicate and socialize with people from different countries. Therefore, by English we can easily communicate and doing business.

Nope the English language is the basis at which success is measured in the entire world, but it really helps when one study the English language because almost 70% of the world's population are speaking it so it's very helpful in that regards.

In my country(Philippines) it's a must to be successful. The good thing is it is integrated in the education system, so every school year, we get a certain kind of English lesson, usually getting more and more complicated each year.

im blessed to be american so thanks god i don't need to learn it. i had spanish classes in high school and it was terrible
