I have seen a few times where people say that because somebody has only a few posts in the forum they cannot be trusted. Is the reverse true, that if you see a poster has many posts you will trust them more?

A trustworthy newbie has less means to be verified as trustworthy. But i guess a untrustworthy oldbie still got a bigger chance of tricking people than an untrustworthy newbie 'cause not everyone is gonna go thru the trouble of checking their previous posts and googling their usernames etc.

(I dont always get new reply notifications, pls send a pm when you think it has happened)

Lots of posts means lots of examples of trustworthyness. All you have to do is check the previous posts.

there are definitely some members with high post counts which I wouldn't consider to be trustworthy so you can't go by post number alone.

Besides the checking thing, people with lots of posts have had lots of chances to publicly screwup bad and get banned, so having lots of posts is an indicator you aren't an obvious scammer or somthing

I would never deal with you because of your post/avatar.

You're only as good as the last post you made. I would accord respect to another based on the dialog you are having with said individual. Extra coins by your name mean little, in my opinion.
