I just signed up with bitcoin and blocks started running up to 42000 blocks how does this work? HELP

Just keep waiting until you get all the way up to just over 134,000 on the block counter.  Then you will be up to date and ready to go!

1. Don't panic. Your Bitcoin client is doing what it's supposed to.
2. Wait for the block count to stop increasing, at 134118 as of this post.
3. Go get some free Bitcoins here.
