I moved my bitcoin from an electrum wallet to a ledger nano a week or so after the bitcoin gold snapshot.  When I log back into my old electrum wallet, under addresses, there are all 0s in the tx column.  I tried popping a few private keys into coinomi and they had no btg.  Do I need to move my btc back to electrum to claim my btg? Or did I somehow lose my btg for good?  Appreciate any help

If you sent your BTC to the ledger nano, the transaction was probably replayed on the BTG network if you're seeing 0 balances. Depending on whether or not you're using segwit addresses on your ledger, you'll have different procedures for getting the coins. Make sure not to make any more transactions out of the ledger until you know what you're doing.
