Mike Novogratz – former Fortress macro trader has just made his prediction shot calling the $40,000 price on BTC and the triple of $500 for ETH on CNBC.That kind of price rally would take the global market capitalization of cryptocurrencies up to $1 trillion dollars. Mike Novogratz stated:“Bitcoin could be at $40,000 at the end of 2018.

Because Novogratz thinks there’s “a big wave of money coming, not just here but all around the world.”. Novogratz noted how the Nasdaq bubble was driven mainly by the United States.

He sees the crypto craze as much more of a globalized phenomenon, pointing to major retail interest in South Korea and Japan:“60, 70 percent of all global trading volume in these cryptos is happening in Japan and Korea. The idea that all prices which we see and follow that are changing everyday [increasing, decreasing] are held on a speculative platform is supported by Novogratz as he described BTC and ETH a “speculator’s dream” for the the reason that they are highly scarce and are not subject to supply responses of any kind:“What’s different about these coins than other commodities … there is no supply response here.

So it’s a speculator’s dream in that as buying happens there’s no new supply response that comes up. He recommends everyday investors put around one to three percent of their net-worth into crypto, while he says wealthier investors could get away with as much as ten percent.Mike Novogratz did hit the mark previously calling $10k on Bitcoin, so will the forecast now be on the same track of becoming reality?.

Very optimistic and not a baseless prediction. Given how quickly growing capitalization, with the fact that Ethereum introduces innovations. I even think that at the end of next year, the currency number 2 after bitcoin will not be worth less than $ 2000.

Yeah,I think his prediction will come true.Everyone started to understand that bitcoin has huge potential so they want to buy more bitcoins as much as they can It is creating high demand for bitcoins which resulting the rapid price increase.In 2017 the price of bitcoin increased more than 1000% so there is a possibility for 400% price increase in 2018 too.

I expect the price of ethereum will be nearly $2000 at the end of 2018.

Not as predictable as that, Bitcoin will continue to the top and another coin (altcoin) is difficult to develop.
I believe eth is a very well developed and trusted coin but bitcoin prices will not be scored by other coins.

It is really a good news for bitcoin lover. Hope bitcoinwill be on top but don't know about other altcoin. ETH has potentiality to be on top 2/3 coin. It is developing . predictors can predicts but none can guranty anything. But let's see what is going tone happen in next year.

So when does the flipening happen?  2019?  Once the Enterprise Etheruem Alliance starts pumping out projects it's over.  With the endless potential that ethereum has and the struggles that bitcoin is having scaling, the time is coming.  When I pay for projects online, I am always asking if people take ETH because I know the transaction fee for BTC is going to be $3.00-$9.00.

I'm really tired of all these price prediction news , never buy such news guys or even take them seriously
started to believe that all these news are just to benefit certain traders , they just want to benefit from the hype
the code of bitcoin hasn't changed , and yet we see such news about price only when bitcoin hits high prices while most of these people don't hype bitcoin when it's at a decent price to buy

I think Mike Novogratz gives a very cautious forecast. If the BTC growth  continues at the same way,  we are expected to cost much more than 40,000 dollars at the end of 2018.
And other altcoins will also grow, first of all Ethereum. It is possible that ETH will reach $ 1,000 this year.

We should not believe in this kind of statements, let's all be honest here, he didn't even presented a concrete and solid proof as a basis for his statements, which means this is just a poor speculation, another way to move people and investors to put in or put out their money on bitcoin. For this statement he is adding up the hype for Bitcoin's price surge which is happening because of CME. This prediction is too early to believe in, though it may happen but still we don't know and there is no assurance here. As for me, I'll advice everyone to continue to discern everything you read on the internet before you believe on it.

I believe this is a time to be careful. Bitcoin's sudden surge is now looking like it is being manipulated by big players who are getting ready to dump. As the saying goes "be greedy if they are fearful and be fearful if they are greedy".

If have converted some of my coins to Decred and some I cashed out to fiat.

this is just another ethereum advertisement performed slyly by including bitcoin price in the article and playing on people emotions.

one thing that people usually forget is that bitcoin is one and only cryptocurrency that is referred to as the decentralized currency in the world. but when it  comes to etheruem it is just another altcoin among thousands of others and at least two dozen similar platforms just like ethereum, some of which are even better platforms than it is. and yet people think it can get pumped that much!
