Looks like they are educating California court about what is Bitcoin and what were they doing.

Out of my curiousness, Is this going to  build back some public's faith in BTC, and another price up??? Smiley

I expect Hollywood industry to release a Bitcoin movie (how evil it is) in no time. Scary Bitcoin Movie 1 for example.

Are you joking? Hollywood likes rebels. In any case, occupy wall street is waiting in the line ahead of us, give it a few years.

Well rebels without a cause did not end well. I am just saying that if the war between bitcoin foundation and California continues, we can probably see some kind of horrible movie, a mixture between Facebook and Scary Movie with the Winkle brothers as main participants. Maybe Arnold too. (and danny de vito as Satoshi)

If you don't have a cause, Hollywood will make one up for you.

They will make one up no matter if you have one already or not. And that one will be what the "people education department" decides.
They might start to show Bitcoin under drug prism with some really disgusting characters in some movies using it against the law, maybe a horrible vicious pedo everyone would hate to death. Or it might be a good prism with a positive message for the masses.
I guess we are too small atm but it will probably happen in a few years and will help bring bitcoin to more people, hope with a positive message.

Their choice of lawyers wasn't bad. They are pretty vicious and unapologetic instead of dry factual. Looks like those lawyers have a fight in them. I like that in a lawyer, actually. Being fact based and rational, kind of harmless, maybe a little geeky. But when push comes to shove they don't enter a fight. They just suit up, take their legal rocket launcher, leave smithereens and then say "Ok, that makes 300 bucks an hour now... for the other party. Thanks for your business."

what if this has been planned from the beginning and it's just a way to "legalize" silicon valley startups and attract some $$?
as stupid as some people are it makes no sense to send a letter of that kind to the foundation
just saying..

They have used a blanket tactic. Basically, they have sent the letter to EVERYONE they could find that is involved with Bitcoin. This way, they don't have to argue specific cases but can put anyone on the defensive as in "why this does not apply to me."

They have practically outsourced the legal arguments to the defendants, therefore saving taxpayer money.

I think this is a rather crazy practice, but I guess it did work.
