There is some tarnish on the coin in crevices. The coin is solid brass so polishing should take that off.

Pro tip: never ever clean a coin. You would hurt the value more by doing so. Should have been kept in an air-tite coin capsule from the start. What a shame to see a Casascius this badly worn.

I actually have others in an airtight capsule. This one just didn't fair so well.
Actually did not know cleaning a worn coin would diminish value even further, so thanks for that tip!

Lol...I think the coins state has been pointed out enough, but yes, it is not in the best shape unfortunately..
It's brass and was not kept in a capsule nor stored properly.
