At first,

I really thought that this is DECENTRALIZED....

but as we go on...

I only found "ONE" main Crypto: Bitcoin

I only found "ONE" main Forum: bitcointalk.org

I only found "ONE" main Currency Exchange: MtGox

I only found "ONE" main miner company: BFL

Why can't we have atleast:

4 coins

4 forums

4 currency exchange

4 miner company?

Well yeah... I know that a few coins/forums/exchange/miner have been merging in... but still it is not enough to be called as entirely "DECENTRALIZED"...

Don't get me wrong... I am no btc hater... I have been supporting btc and the entire Crypto world as a whole...

I really believe in this concept and hoping we can succeed in killing USD and other FIAT... in the "NEAR FUTURE"...

Papa, with all due respect, there are many exchanges, forums, coins, and mining companies. Is this meant to be metaphorical?

There are many more than four currencies. More than four forums/discussion sites. More than four exchanges. And if by mining companies you mean ASIC manufacturers, there are are four or five.

Yeah... I said that in the post as well...

but can they be called part of the network/system yet? I don't think so...

"MOST" Crypto users are still stuck on the main forums/coins/exchange/manufacturers...

WHEN IN FACT IT SHOULD BE DECENTRALIZED....

so if main forums/coins/exchange/manufacturers is under attack...

THE ENTIRE CONCEPT OF DECENTRALIZED IS PANICKING and is getting destroyed "EASILY"...

There are tons of forums about bitcoin

There are tons of exchanges, better than mtgox

There are tons of asic manufacturers, better than bfl. Most of them also started shipping asics before bfl.

1) You aren't looking very hard.

2) You don't understand the meaning of the word "decentralized" as it applies to bitcoin

3) You are trolling.

Pick one (or more).

None of the above.

Look here... I wanted to have a secure way where even the the gov can't touch.

Let's put for example megaupload's shutdown.

if there were "MANY" megaupload... (we know there were many but not as good as megaupload)... so in reality... there was only "ONE" megaupload...

and it was shutdown just like that...

Now back to CRYPTO... how do you know that the gov can't shutdown one of our "MAIN" forum/coin/exchange/manufacturer? heck, they can make up anything and get our mainstream as crypto as a whole...

If there are "REAL" decentralized aspect of all these... then it wouldn't be this easy to manipulate any crypto price at all...

I was there when btc went to $21/btc down to $5 then shoot up to $266... and now here it is again...

I would estimate that there is only about 9% of "us" versus the 91% of them... and if the 91% of them attacks our main coin/forum/exchange/etc...

there is nothing much we can do but hold our horses...

There is no reason why something that it is decentralized should not have a volatile price. Of course people can manipulate the price; that's freedom. What they cannot manipulate, crucially, is the maximum money supply.
