Hey guys, just wondering what PSU's you use for your S9's and any where you source them. I have seen the 2880w PSU that can run 2 S9's. Is this a good idea? Should I buy 1 PSU per S9?

Let me know what you think. I am using a Tripp Lite PDUH20HVL6 PDU with 240v connectors.

I Run EVGA 1600W Titanium @ 240V. From Amazon.
96%+ Efficiency. 10 year warranty.

Running great...

Have it connected to my Tripp Lite 30A, 240v PDU.

your PSU is an overkill and expensive
just go with that it will do

PSU is the most critical component, and doesn't depreciate like miners. Don't cheap out... Get it from a reputable manufacture.

So don't get something like this? - I was looking to stay away from running 2x psu's per rig. I will be adding 7-12 s9's next month and more in jan. Just wanted to make it simple

I was looking at those too, just concerned about the efficiency claims. Would love to see some real world tests on that before pulling the trigger.

I agree. But they claim to be the IBM 2880w PSU's. If they are LEGIT IBM units I expect them to be at least a gold+ rating. The link below shows someone selling them but no longer makes the kits.

You say that yet you post you are running an ATX power supply. ATX power supplies are not meant to handle near their full rated output 24/7/365. They are a terrible choice for bitcoin miners.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

And why is that? better efficiency and 10 year warranty is key.   Great availability and support.

This one is rated to run 1600w continuous. Its running at less than 80% load.

Maybe provide a little more technical detail on why they are no good for this application?  Its the best option.
