Would anyone happen to know why 2 out of 4 BFL Jalapenos are throwing out >50% HW errors at difficulty 8 shares? One pair are throwing <0.1% HW errors, while the other pair are throwing at least >50% each. I haven't been able to find definitive proof that each HW error = 1 share lost. Could anyone clarify this?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Could you post screenshots? 50% sounds kinda crazy, are you sure you read the output correctly?

Are you calculating your HW% with diff1shares or with the number of shares you have with difficulty 8 ?
The correct formula to calculate HW% (with cgminer fieldnames) is: 100 * HW / (diff1shares + HW)

I am selling in stock OneStringMiner boards, based on the Bitfury chips. Have a look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=495536.0

I also noticed this on Jala's, But on 16 difficulty, I lowered to 8 and all went well, I suggest lowering yours to 4 and go from there.

My Jala HW % is about 4.2% at diff 1. But at diff 8 also extremely high.

For the love of..., please pay attention:
