Hi everyone,

Just got my batch 2 order. I set everything up and according to BTC Guild it is only running at 19,279.63 MH/s. Will it pick up speed? Did I do something wrong?

Thanks in advance

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hi everyone,

Just got my batch 2 order. I set everything up and according to BTC Guild it is only running at 19,279.63 MH/s. Will it pick up speed? Did I do something wrong?

Thanks in advance

It's hard to say without knowing what's going on with the miner. Looking at the CGMiner status page are you getting a lot of HW errors? What clock do you have the Avalon set to? What are the temperatures at?

On the pool side are you connected via stratum? If so what share difficulty have you set for your worker? A share difficulty too low could be affecting the efficiency of your avalon.

I just got my Avalon today.  BTC Guild almost immediately showed 70-72 GH/s.  Please note that the dashboard for BTC Guild uses an hour long average if there is any historical data.  So if you added your Avalon to an existing worker, it won't reflect the Avalon's full speed for an hour.

RIP BTC Guild, April 2011 - June 2015
