I'm not one of those who feel discouraged or down due to the shot (dip) Bitcoin takes after increasing to record levels as I believe in Newton's law that whatever goes up, needs to come down and we really need a correction every time it goes up because that's the only way for traders to enjoy the swings in values as that's how we profit. Correction is no bad if it has gained enough for the time being and bitcoin never disappoints as it survives back in the end after the "death it dies".

Not really i always enjoy these dips it clearly means for me that i can get free money. Meaning whenever the price falls i collect all my funds and try to buy 2 btc. During the last dip when it feel to $7k i bought 4 btc and sold at $10.5k get a profit of $10k in no time. As you mentioned dips should always be considered to buy more you can either buy for long term or just for a short profit.

People do cry in dips because they aren't aware of all this all these media and news are always claiming btc is a risky investment and when it falls below their purchase price it's a clear panic.

Yeah its interesting to think about it. the pros who have been in it for a while when they see a dip are happy because they can buy more. But of course their lack of concern is usually partially because they got in initially at a way lower price than what its dipping down at.

The noobs who are buying the tops on the other hand have to practice emotional control when those dips come. this market is more enthusiasm than logic when it comes to people.
and these days it is even worse because unlike low prices, now a small percentage rise is a bigger amount. for example 10% rise when price was $200 meant $20 rise but now the same rise at $10,000 price means $1000 (same with drops) and people lose their mind over it just because the number is a big one apparently. but they forget that these rises and falls are the same rises and falls as before, the numbers are just big because bitcoin is now worth a lot more.

I used to have some doubts or get a twinge of fear when the price would dip but once I found out that it's normal for the price to experience some dips and corrections every now and then, I no longer get worried when it does. Unless some event may happen that would cause an impending crash, I don't get bothered by the dips. When I first got involved in cryptoworld last August , I was really discouraged when bitcoin hit so low (like almost $3K) and almost lost interest in it. The dips are not that much that you can buy too low because the dip are only between 100 to 800 $ and not more than that . I think if anyone needs to buy again this is one of the right time to buy . The price has dipped below 20k after crossing 10.5k two days before.

We always expecting minor decrease and increase in the price of bitcoin. $100 to $800 is not such a big decrease in the price of bitcoin. Not really but today i discouraged a little bit  when it was exactly  got dip a little on the time that i really need to withdraw some of it  but even i losts some i know i will still can get it ^_^

By seeing the current condition of the market which happen to be really volatile and price always changing within 0-8% range  of the current price. you need to have a little more patience if you want

I would really suggest everyone to read Tony Robbins' book: Unshakable, Your financial Freedom. It helps you on how to deal with a bear market and how to take advantage of it.

Another tip for holders (not as important for day traders): Do not look at BTC and alts prices everyday, just check every week. If you see how prices changed from a week ago everything is green. People tend to freak out with ups and downs, but at the end everything keeps going up. There could be (and most likely will be) bigger corrections. However, if you believe in BTC and/or alts you are buying you know they will go up over time.

No talking seriously I don't get discouraged with a dip because this crypto market always need a correction to fix some matters and early traders who keep a sharp eye on bitcoin growth know that after every dip in btc prices its rise with a greater pump and there is a surge in prices all over globally.Moreover I take this as an opportunity and buy according to my budget at low prices and then sell at higher because I know it would rise to more extent and profits are in pocket.But investors might not be happy as they see it as a loss for their business but traders love it.

well, sometime when i check the BTC price, especially in the last couple of days i'm like "wtf is happening! panic! panic! panic!" but i think it's understandable then i get my crap back and blame myself for not being able to invest more while the price is still "low".
I have not much invested at the moment but you know, every money you put in this crypto world are hard earned money that you can't use for your everyday use and losing them it's a bad situation.

Before I would say yes, I am one of those who got panic whenever I see a sudden price drop in bitcoin and almost sell whatever coins I have for I was afraid I'll be losing so much if I keep on holding them in a long run. But when I realize what bitcoin cycle is all about a sudden pump or dump does not worry me anymore and I take every drop as an opportunity to invest and wait till the value of bitcoin finally recover again, I no longer get panic and only trust in bitcoin.

Based on what I experienced this year the possible reasons that made the bitcoin dips are the Aug 1 hardfork, the China ICO and crypto exchange ban and the Bitcoin Cash pump and dump.

Never not even for a second because I realize that these corrections are necessary and healthy for the growth of bitcoin. The last thing you need is massive parabolic growth every other week because as you might or might not know that is not sustainable. Well, im not even a second. Dips in bitcoin is normal, it is part of Bitcoin world to goes down at some time. Many are saying it is due to corrections made, and i think it is the reasons but eventually after those things it will continously goes up again but not as fast like before.

No.I would actually see it as an opportunity to buy more bitcoins at a lower price since i have already seen many times bitcoin price falling and recovering soon.It would be only newbies who would get panic and sell their bitcoins in such dips.We have already seen lots of dips and immediate recovery after such dips bitcoin reaching ATH.So,just stay cool and buy more BTC silently during such dips.

I easily get discouraged with dips those times that i dont understand bitcoins platform,but now i just take it as a normal decrease of btc prices.This would be the opportunity for every individual who want to invest btc.When it crashes more investors would have interest  to buy in a lower cost and sell high if the perfect time comes.

LOL, I love the image with the baby crying but on topic, no I'm not discouraged by the dips and I think the same goes for people that got some experience with bitcoin, most of us see it as an opportunity to get more bitcoin at cheaper prices, if I can get in a dip that is great but if I cannot I do not care and I buy at whatever price bitcoin is trading at the moment, it is not the best strategy but I do not have the patience to wait for the perfect opportunity to enter in the market.

This thread is good for newbies out there that are panicking when the price is pulling down to the pit hole. Don't get discouraged when dips are on it's way and happening. I, myself is happy when there are dips it's making the bitcoin economy balance and it's a good time to give me chance of buying more, like this Christmas season I've got my bonus on my paycheck and good thing I bought some at $9,600.

I don't know if there are such panicking levels for them as long as they are panicking then they are doing it wrong. I've been there and I guess all of us, we've been through on panicking scenario. To those newbies just take note that dips are healthy and don't take it very hard and heavy that it's like the end of your bitcoin/crypto career, there is an advantage and opportunity when you take it positive.

Mostly beginners do such thing, because they dont know how to control their emotion yet. As we know, we shouldnt involved our emotion at all during trading, only some anlysis and logical thinking is needed

I guess you are very old in crypto market, that’s why quite familiar with the fluctuating nature of bitcoin and other digital currencies. Yes, It is true that one should not fear the dumps in the prices of bitcoin rather treat it as the golden opportunities of collecting bitcoin at cheap rates.

Bitcoin is the one which pumps harder than dumps and this is what I really admire about this amazing digital currency. In short, unstable nature of bitcoin is a blessing.
