What I read was they started as part of Disney and then moved out.
They are separate organizations now.

actually it was first strarted by walt disney as its internal project on pixel works and other animation department works of it... afterthat they got the work done by it and left it making open source software which anyone can access... but the devs who worked on it felt it a great project and not to leave it soo easily.. so they adopted it back, started it again under dragon foundation with world class team and experts who still are a part of walt disney... these guys have access from both walt disney and fortune 500companies...

Ive seen this $DRGN pump like crazy and got listed easily on big exchanges . I personally dont know what is up but i dont want to get involve on projects i have little information about it . Some says its not a legit project but as what ive heard , its someway, somehow has some connection to disney ? Please do correct me if im wrong tho . But overall , I think this is 70% legit now .
