I am not sure that what miner bots do but I have noticed trading bots in Github. I have surf about in Google results that gives some direction to different type of mining bot site. That is a question very few are caring to investigate unfortunately. Maybe what these powerful computers are working on have nothing to do with bitcoin. Who knows? The reality that we the little guys are told that we are mining bitcoins but for all we know we could be helping out a company or a goverment solve some crazy calculation that maybe would have taken 100's of years to do but now together we are adding more power to their system and contirbuting to the soltuion they are looking for. Maybe it's all part of the Artificial world that is coming....

Yes, the same came me in mind. Browser based mining without knowledge of visitors. Also scam sites with downloadable software may call their virus/trojans mining bots . Give an example of your "mining bots", so that we can give accurate answers.

What are bots ? They are computerised devices or programs which are programmed in such a way to complete a given task quickly . It is basically used to do a job quicker and basically to help lazy People.
Now you might be probably knowing about mining. Basically people used softwares to mine and mine and make few money.
So basically mining bots just makes the job easy for humans . The user doesn't have to be attentive or spend time in mining. The bots will do everything that in needed to mine and basically the user is left free and can do some sort of other work.
