Google, Youtube and the trading section of this forum are your friends. Just browse, there are plenty of advices.
I would not recommend you to start trading with real Bitcoins until you learn how to do it properly. This is a skill, not everyone is able to make profit from trading. Friendly advice.

There are a lot of websites that allow you to spend as well as trade using BTC. I found https://bitify.com/ quite good. It accepts BTC and LTC. Gives you the option to be a buyer or a seller with an escrow facility.
Its  gud starting point for anyone looking to set up a bitcoin enabled shop..

I also was confused with you in the starting but now understand well that for which thing you are asking .
Here I would like to share my own experience of trading in this unstable situation of the market price , first of all you should be ready that people are making buy and sell bitcoin in the day time much than what at the before morning time , so you should sell bitcoin at the 3-4 am O'clock and then buy after some hours of price get down that will results into profit for you easily according to the amount of the money or btc you will use ( daily I am making with this trick about 0.002btc easily with 0.05btc buy sell ) .
Another option for you is to buy altcoin which is very down then what you can expect ( for example dgb ) and then sell with 4-5% up in the price .

try to use bittrex or benance for your trading if you to use your bitcoin in trading, good idea and good timing so far bitcoin today continue to increase the price, always put on your in trading do not panic stay in calm and wait your investment become profitable.

Use any bitcoin exchange like bittrex and poloniex. Spend your bitcoins in buying some shitcoins or invest in some newly launched coins which seems to have different ideas than others and stands a chance to compete others.

trading isn't a math if one can 1000$ from buying bitcoin and sell it , it is not mean every one will get same .

there are many ways one is to be updated for every coin. in social media there are group/people that update coin every 5 minute and you can see which coin is pumping. the earlier you buy the better.

choose between bittrex or poloniex, before buying coin you have to know the information even though the information will rise not 100% correct you have to dig the information, ordinary new coin whether this coin can compete with others.

no one know here what will happen to bitcoin in the future so your right about bitcoin is unpredictable but it's very good now and the price continue to grow.I think spend bitcoin in real thing like do business in real world or cash-out your btc to cash then save some in banks.You can also spend your bitcoin to trading here but do a little invest then try to repeat that if you earn more bitcoin.Moreover you can invest in some gambling site here for fun and for your reward in your job here in bitcoin world but just little money,we need also to relax sometimes
