Well there is no suprise about this, the cryptocurrency market is all centered around the big one, every one is working to get bitcoin because in people's eyes bitcoin is the only successfull coin, poeple only started to use altcoins just when mining bitcoin started becoming more and more difficult, so mining other altcoin with a less difficulty than bitcoin with a much lower coast machines is much profitable than dierectly mining bitcoin, and of course they do all this just to be able to exchange it to bitcoin so they can get even more profit, because everyone knows that altcoins are very unpredictibale and could crash at any time because they have a much smaller user base than bitcoin.

that is a common thing to happen in altcoin market. everyone knows it and those who don't already will learn it slowly as they get more acquainted with altcoins. everyone wants more bitcoin in their pockets which is why they dump altcoins and the panic of a price drop in altcoins makes the dump even worse.

In my opinion, there is no need to panic. Such things usually happen on markets. One day all prices go down, other day they rise significantly and so on.
By the way, as I know, two hardforks are going to happen in December. Silver Bitcoin and Super Bitcoins. Maybe because of that people move from altcoins to BTC to gain hardfork benefits.

Can't say really, it makes sense at first, but then if people really are selling off their alts for Bitcoin, wouldn't Bitcoin just be getting stronger? Now every crypto in general is in decline, so I think there's just a moment of equilibrium here. My guess is that sell offs combined with people rushing in for good value altbuys is together pushing Bitcoin back down from its ATH. No worries though, if you're an alt holder, this time shall pass. Possibly some but with Bitcoin being all over the news now new people will be attracted to the speculative coin market looking for the next "goldmine" coin.      They will need Bitcoin or ETH to buy many of these Alt-coins.     It's a trickle down effect delayed by the fact that most people will pay with a card which has a 10 day hold before they actually receive their ETH ect.     They need time to figure out wallets and what Alt-coins may be the "next big winner".      

At least that's the way it's been for me, after a friend contacted me about mining a few weeks ago.     Many, possible me, will lose some money but people still buy lottery tickets every week hoping to hit the jackpot.      But I've been trying to be careful and only buying using a tiny percentage of my savings.    

Exactly my thoughts. Now the majority of the news and "new investors" are sharing one common theme: it is too high in the bubble now to get into Bitcoin, wait a little while. Instead, alt projects and media promoting new alts are taking advantage of this situation and presenting their alts as the next valuable goldmine.

   I might say that your comment is the best from all others! Who
ever follow price charts will notice that in dollars almost all alt-coins
are going up with bitcoin price. In bitcoin price almost all alt-coins
are losing value, but some of them rising in bitcoins too. I noticed
that Dash is gaining value and yesterday IOTA, Waves, and few
others, it would be too much to mention all others.
   This bitcoin rise made many people to transfer funds into bitcoins,
that is why demand is high and price is rising. I believe that alt-coins

You should re-check what you just said. I don't see any alt coin going down at the movement. If they were then I wold have been getting more of them.


The price is not completely related with the bitcoin actually as it has to be either direct investment into it or something better than that. Altcoin are actually pumping hard at this movement and I can see how top 10 coins have already gotten +10% mark hit by today only.


There might be random fluctuation though because they are not getting invested in straight way. I mean people are first investing into bitcoin and then they are getting the investment done into alt coins. So thats why you might be thinking its draining. Its not, its just taking time to reflect the 24 hours volume. :-)

Actually both bitcoins and altcoins are different concepts as Bitcoins increases at very fast rate whereas altcoins and not so fast in increasing its value but it goes on increase at very slow rate in case of altcoins but the increase is definate.

As the btc price is rising daily the altcoin price is also increasing high. And to be honest only the coins that will have an requirement in next couple of years will survive the phase rest will wash out in coming time as due to too many coins being in the market. Also if the btc price falls nearly altcoin would correct by 30 - 40% quickly and can be bought at discount at those times.

I highly doubt that, we will see a crash across the board. BTC goes down big time, Alts go down big time. The only reason for this is that people will cash to tether and buy the massive dip of BTC

That statement is true at this moment! Altcoins are falling in the value and the market cap of all the altcoins is getting lower. Bitcoin is destroying coins that cant compete with it. People holding the altcoins are trading them for Bitcoin and that is pumping the Bitcoin price faster. Investors are turning to Bitcoin cause its popularity and security at the moment. Growth will continue for sure but for how long? Looks like there is a bit of truth in what Bogdan said. I haven't seen green in almost all ALTS for a long time now, last 2-3 days is getting way better. Bitcoin is on rising but all ALTs follow this trend too, looks like it will be good Christmas time for accumulating more ICO Tokens is there will be a price correction.

Bitcoin surge in in past days really affect all altcoins price, but I believe it won't get to long for their recovery. Is just a matter of waiting and sacrifice from being down in a moment.
