Just got 3 new s9's

two are fine and on slushpool.

the third is having controller issues.  I connect it to the network and SYSTEM OVERVIEW comes up and only ADMINISTRATION - MONITOR - UPGRADE are accessible.

All other tabs give me CONNECTION REFUSED.

I have disconnected the hashboards, same issue.

I have tried to do a reset.  same issue.

Tried to ssh into the machine to turn off.  same issue

Should I try to do a firmware upgrade? If so, how do I choose the correct firmware from the bitmain site?

https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?pid=00720161126080548570Q2tDBXAH065D

Would really love to get this last machine up.....

update:  i pushed the reset for 15 seconds and it started working, so up updated the firmware while it was working.  then everything seemed fine.  after 30 seconds it started misbehaving again.

all system information, in SYSTEM OVERVIEW, is blank

I just booted another one up and had NO red leds on the boards ?

Everything else is fine just no speed/cards/chips showing ??

How do you know it;s the board ??

I think bitmain mines them for two months to weed out bad ones, I would be surprised if they shipped more than a few rejects per batch.

OP it sounds like you have a control board issue.  Can you swap the miner over with one on a working setup - meaning use the power supply and Ethernet cable from a known good unit to prove the problem is not from power noise on that supply.

I have 2 out of 4 working now, plugged one in which i played with for hours last night and it powered up ?

The issue is the boards, they are not going through self check/autotune, no solid leds, then no flickering leds, then they are supposed to flash board 1, board 2, board 3, bit more flickering and then ON solid and green NORMAL status led flashes on I/O board..If not then ur stuffed ??
