Bitcoin Live Price Plotting Software

BitKapp is releasing an open source Live Bitcoin price plotting software written in python. It is free to use and distribute in accordance to its GNU License.

Features:

• Ability to set the refresh rate time for the requests. This scale goes from a default of 10 seconds per request to 60 seconds.
• Ability to set the Y-axis scale with a simple slider widget.
• Y-axis will auto update according to the current price whereabouts on the canvas.
• The color of the line will change if the price goes up or down (this will help with very small changes in the price). Screenshots below.
• Supports multiple currencies (USD, GBP, EUR)

It's a nice program. I'm learning a bit more python this summer so I'll probably use it as reference to make a few bitcoin related things.

Unfortunately I'm not sure if it is of use to a lot of people. There will be the odd few who may leave this running and use it as reference but there are just so many ways to find the current price and display price over time.

Thanks! I've just posted it on the forums for people like you who want to build on it or something like that. Im learning python myself and this was one way of doing it. As I said in the original post its not commercial or anything like that, purely done for fun and as a learning experience. If i can help with anything i would be glad to do so.

I am indeed, the reason for my project being posted there is simply to support my servers for bitkapp.com and to raise a little cash for me to continue releasing free opensource software. I have to more projects under development. An order book of the most recent orders and a currency to bitcoin converter.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Also we are developing two more application to go in hand with this one. One is an orderbook to see the most recent bitcoin orders on mt gox. Also we have developed (easliy) a simple currency (USD, GBP, EUR) to bitcoin converter, which should be useful for any merchants out there. This will be released very soon!
