I stumbled across a website (www.setgetgo.com) that lets you receive BTC payments through payment links/buttons or API. Whats cool about it is all you need to do is provide them a BTC wallet address you want to receive payment in, what BTC amount you want to receive, and it will generate the HTML you need to put a link or buy now button! First thing that came to mind was to use this for e-bay transactions you want to be paid in BTC. Their fee is very reasonable (0.0025 BTC per transaction) and you dont need to sign up or provide them any information. I suppose you could also do this to hide how much BTC is in your wallet as no one knows which wallet is receiving the payment. Pretty slick!

I am not affiliated with the site in any way, I just wanted to see what everyones thoughts were on this as I hadnt seen something like this before now.

It doesn't really matter. See, if you properly sweep the wallet you will still have a track record.

Be careful on joining this kind of platform, don’t just trust the think that few people are using because you might get scammed here yes no need to put information but your wallet is in still in track, I mean if you are using nom secured wallet you might loose it.

It is quite suspicious since you receive money in an anonymous people, since in this world there is no such thing free.
It’s better to make some actions to return it since maybe the sender has made some mistake so you receive a BTC.

I don’t see the point of using such service. Firstly, we don’t know whether the platform is safe. And if you want to receive BTC anonymously, you can create a BTC address every time you receive a payment.

That is the reason of why multi signature wallets already exists.

I have been using that kind of wallets since the beggining of everything, in fact, you are able to use a multisignature wallet if you have nano ledger/trezor wallet.

Everytime that you receive a payment, your address changes, but it will always belong to you, so there is no need to worry about it.

I prefer to use a few addreses instead of one, it is very secure and you do not have to worry about if someone tracks your wallet or your balance.

Exactly, there is no free lunch and there is no elevator to success but the staircase. It's better you strive to earn your bitcoins rather than look for shortcuts and crooked ways to amass wealth by using such shady platforms.

I don't think it is fair to call setgetgo a "shady platform". There's no proof of us engaging in rogue behaviour, we're trying to better the community and improve on what the existing payment processors do a really bad job on, i.e., provide fixed fees over percentage based fees.

Setgetgo facilitates payments between merchants and their customers, it makes it really easy for them to accept and track payments through anonymous REST calls and not have to worry about the intricacies of Bitcoin. We do this for a very small fixed fee, believe it or not there is quite a bit of engineering behind the scenes to make this happen.

Power to you if you don't want to use a payment processor, but there's a reason the existing Bitcoin payment gateways are able to get away with murder by charging huge percentage based fees: Lots of merchants are using them. Just check out the kind of numbers these guys are pulling on a daily basis, it's outrageous!

We don't stagger payment: the Bitcoin received belongs to the merchant and we will forward the entire amount (minus our small transaction fee) the moment we receive it. We strive to make this happen within two minutes.

We're not a scam site, time will show this to be true.

You can create an offline paper wallet, and then get someone to send the coins to you. But once you move the coins or try to send them to fiat, you will be revealed. If you want anonimity, then use deep onion or some other crypto currency that protects your privacy

Dude, you might be very very rich because you think that 0.0025 is very reasonable fees. Lolz With current conversion rate 0.0025~ $ 25 USD. That would be so ridiculous to pay that much fees for each transaction you make. Moreover there is nothing anonymous in the crypto world as it seems to be because every bitcoin address or wallet still can be tracked from the blockchain nodes and you can't hide it at all by using no services in the world.

Why would I use HTML linking and stuff like that to complex the situation for my customer when he can just see the checkout and pay button provided by the plug in from your host provider. Thats the safety feature actually which should really make your customers feel free form the worries.

We pay a mining fee of 0.00125, which makes our fee 0.00125, ergo 0.0025. This is a fair and small fee when compared to percentage based fees. Obviously this doesn't make sense for smaller amounts. If you have any ideas on how to make the mining fee smaller so that our customers still get their coin for smaller transactions (say less than 0.0025?) within a reasonable amount of time then please do share.

My hosting provider doesn't provide a "checkout and pay" button for BTC. If they did then they probably would have made it percentage-based.

The purpose of our service is to facilitate merchants receiving payments from their customers, not to be a mixer or anonymizing service.

I don't find the need to be anonymous and even if I do, there is no need to pay 0.0025 BTC to be anonymous when we could use wallets which supports features like multi-sig, generating new address every time etc.. Wallets like mycelium and coinbase are free to download and generates new addresses for every transaction. The addresses are automatically saved in the wallet and can be used n number of times.
