The head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), economist Kristalina Georgieva, provided information about the IMF's top priorities for 2020. One of them was to stimulate a healthy global economy for 189 countries, besides that digital currencies were a priority this year.
Georgieva said that if the leaders of the country had to be able to compensate for the fact if fintech including digital currency continued to experience growth.
The IMF itself has a long history of encouraging countries to embrace transitions into the digital age. For example, in September former IMF chief Christine Lagarde asked central banks to be able to embrace emerging technologies.
