I mean it doesn't mean we are viloating any rules in the 10 commandments, this are just one of their ways in order to prvent many people from tolerating and using bitcoin, and to add also disputes among users and bend their mind like telling that they are doing something wrong in which we know we are not except those scammers.

It is a funny move by the Turks ,they should abandon cars stocks concrete houses because they were not built during the initial phase of the religion and if they want to follow everything by the book ,they should be like war lords who conquer people without their permission,i guess they are doing it still in the name of religion. Cheesy I doubt people will listen to this when it comes to money no matter what religion you are,if it was something else which could create unrest they will be following it willingly. Grin

I had actually thought that word is "Stupid" until now that I saw it spelt "Stoopid" Lol...I have to question my learning then.

Well, I really don't think the problem is from religion per se. It is the overzealousness of worshippers that cause the world certain stupid and irrational practices and beliefs. For me, religion is cool.

Before you boast of your material acquisition, take a stroll to a morgue and there you will find those who were once better than you're. Only fools think they've it all. Stay humble 🤔

"these people" what do we have to do with them ,we don't even consider turkey as a muslim country in our society.Even if their minister said that or who ever he is doesn't mean it's completly true and a fact that every muslim should follow and immediatly drop his coins. I'm a muslim as well and personally i believe that bitcoin has nothing to do with HALLAL or HARAM . Because it's just like gold . Countries like that would make it HARAM just to try and prevent their people from dealing and benefiting from it.

They are only looking in one side of bitcoin which is the bad side and it is the reason why they say that Bitcoin will piss God off.
They should widened their understanding and will also accept the good side of bitcoin.

To be fair, it's not like this suggestion is warranted by the Qur'an (as far as I know).

It's inevitable that with a religion that has so many believers around the world, there's going to be a fair amount of argument over what it's okay for people following that faith to do.

The article itself was relatively neutral about it, so you don't have to be so hyperbolic.

If you would think about it carefully, using Bitcoin to donate is not a bad idea. It would actually lessen the corruption. Gathered money will go directly to the designated address and there will be no human intervention during the process because if money goes through the hands of many people its tempting them to take get something from the donation.

I thought only Vatican loves to dictate people what to do. Now even Islam instructing their members to drop BTC? Why? Is it written in their Koran not to use crypto currency?

As I read their explanations there was not even a single reference backed by Quran or anything regarding religion. They just made this statement using their own conclusions (in my opinion) so it is their stupidity not a whole religion`s

Actually they are right and it is haram. Because in crypto when one makes money another one loses that money, so when looked at it from the perspective of the islam religion then it is correct that it is haram. Ofcourse God has nothing to do with this ideology, mankind created the so-called rules of any religion and pretend to live by them. People like to be seen as the high morale kind while doing all the nasty behind the drapes. But yes, if you have accepted the islamic faith and want to be true to it, then crypto is from that perspective haram, those that deny this are just pretenders of the islamic belief system. Yes Bitcoin was not invented when the quran was released, but that is not the point, it is the principle of making money by making another lose that money that is against islamic principles.

Religion has played a great part in every nations economy so I think its only normal for them to intervene with bitcoins and make stories about it.

Rawdog you troll! I thought you were done with BTC long ago. Wasn't poker your thing now?
Muslims don't know what they want and have proven it over and over by killing their own brothers in the name of faith in their bombings and shootings. In one country we have wealthy sheikhs investing in cryptocurrencies, allowing women to drive and walk around with their faces uncovered and in another we got religious freaks stoning one another for "adultery".

Does this thread really belong in bitcoin discussion? I'd put it somewhere in politics and society.

I mean that's one way to maintain control over a nation of roaches, no problem with this in my opinion. They'll fall for it an continue to be enslaved by their dictator that they chose to vote in, and there's nothing I like to see more than people who perform retarded actions reap the rewards of their actions.

Why does this really matter to anyone outside of Turkey anyways? I don't remember them being involved with the blockchain too heavily in any aspect, most of them seem like they've never been involved in Bitcoin unless they were part of the real-high upper class in Turkey.

Preemptive measures?
